WWE Fastlane 2016: 5 possible endings for Lesnar vs. Reigns vs. Ambrose

The new face of authority

WWE FastLane 2016 is not one of those pay-per-views that get the hype going due to its name. It does not have the big-time feel of WrestleMania and nor does it have the rich tradition of Survivor Series. This means that the excitement surrounding the pay-per-view rides solely on the matches that it carries in its card. Also read: WWE Roadblock 2016 Predictions: 5 Possible endings to Triple H vs. Dean AmbroseRelationships will be broken, alliances will be madeWWE, well aware of this fact has booked a mammoth triple threat for the 2016 edition. #5 The Authority finds their new champion

The new face of authority

The triple threat match at Fastlane 2016 is much more complex than it seems. There are some interesting subplots in it and the most promising one perhaps the friendship between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. These two have had each other’s backs for quite some time now and when this relationship ends, WWE will have a solid storyline in their hands.

One way in which WWE could make use of the subplot is by turning Dean Ambrose heel. He could get help from the Authority at FastLane and go on to win the match. Triple H could then gift the title to Ambrose on the Raw that follows and set up a heel Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns showdown at WrestleMania. Triple H meanwhile, could face Rock or Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania rather than walking in as the WWE champion.

#4 A new Paul Heyman guy

Heyman holds the key

While turning Dean Ambrose is a potential ending, turning Roman Reigns and making him a Paul Heyman guy would be a sure shot internet breaker. Reigns is attracting some huge heat from the fans and one of the reasons for this is his promos. Every time he takes up the microphone, the toughness that he possesses inside the ring vanishes. To avoid this, WWE could make him a Paul Heyman guy.

When it is down to Lesnar and Reigns at Fastlane, WWE could turn Heyman and align him with Reigns. Reigns could then go on to win the match and WWE could go for a Triple threat between Reigns, Triple H and Lesnar at WrestleMania.

#3 The Beast does it

Brock can and Brock might

Brock Lesnar, for some reason, does not come into this match as the favorite. Although a Lesnar vs. Triple H match is more than tempting for WWE fans, the underlying possibility of a Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt match and the feud between Triple H and Roman Reigns urges us to believe that Reigns will win this one.

So, if Lesnar walks out of Fastlane as the winner by dismantling Reigns and Ambrose effortlessly, it would be a surprise ending. Lesnar and Triple H facing off is indeed a big match and if WWE makes good use of Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and Paul Heyman, they could hype the match on a different level.

#2 Surprise lunatic package

A clean win would be special

As mentioned in the previous slide, Roman Reigns is the favorite to walk out of FastLane as the winner. Reigns, however, does not have the backing of WWE Universe that is needed for a baby face. Although WWE is trying to put over Reings as a fan favorite, the idea is simply not clicking.

Dean Ambrose, on the other hand, is extremely over with the fans. A good portion of the fan base wants to see him as the next WWE champion and letting him win at FastLane will be received with a positive response. Once Ambrose overcomes Triple H at Mania, WWE could turn Reigns and have an Ambrose vs. Reigns feud for the title.

#1 Buzzards take away the Beast

The interference of Bray could help Reigns win

The battle lines were drawn between Brock Lesnar and Wyatt Family at Royal Rumble. Lesnar eliminated the entire Wyatt family before Bray came in and changed things around. The Beast was eliminated in an embarrassing fashion in the end, and from what we know; this storyline is far from over.

Now that Bray does not have a feud to focus on heading to WrestleMania, the chance of him interrupting Lesnar at Fastlane is pretty high. With such interference, the win could go in favor of Roman Reigns. Lesnar meanwhile, could go on to feud with Bray Wyatt for WrestleMania although the match barely evokes excitement.
