The Rated-R superstar, Edge is one of the most acclaimed WWE superstars. He had a dream run in the WWE with a heap of Championship victories. This great superstar has put up some great matches on the grandest stage, WrestleMania. Edge competed in 10 WrestleMania matches throughout his career and won 6 of them while losing the other 4. #1 WM 24 - The Undertaker vs Edge
Edge and Undertaker fought in the main event at WM 24 for the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge put on a great show in this match by blocking all the moves of the phenom. He delivered two spears to the dead man but Undertaker managed to survive.
After a long gruelling match, Undertaker finally caught Edge in the Hell’s gate submission and Edge tapped out and lost the match. With this, the Undertaker went 16-0. The resilience and tact shown by Edge in this match impressed the WWE universe.
#2 WM 25 - Edge vs John Cena vs Big Show
The 25th anniversary of WrestleMania witnessed a triple threat match between John Cena, Edge and Big show for the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge went into the match as the champion but couldn’t retain the title.
Edge and Show worked as a team to incapacitate Cena but the alliance soon crumbled. Edge speared Big Show and Cena followed it up with an STF on Show to take him out. Edge and Cena tore each other apart and soon Cena gained the advantage. He delivered an AA to both Show and Edge at the same time and covered Show to win the title.
#3 WM 17 - Edge & Christian vs The Hardy Boys vs The Dudley Boys
The WrestleMania 16 match was a tag team contest. Three teams competed for the titles in a ladders match. The Dudley Boys, The Hardy Boys competed with Edge and Christian. This was a very physical match. Edge and Christian were decimated by their opponents by ladders.
Edge speared Jeff in mid air and that was the best spear ever in WWE till date. They managed to climb the ladder and grab the titles and went on to become one of the great tag team champions in WWE history. This was the first WrestleMania appearance for Edge and he really made it big on the grand stage. This was a turning point in Edge’s career.
#4 WM 21 - Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Edge beat Chris Benoit, Kane, Shelton Benjamin, Chris Jericho & Christian and won the Money in the Bank ladder match. This was one of the classic ladder matches and a hard fought win for Edge. He went through the ladders and got beat throughout the match. Edge finally climbed the ladder and pulled down Kane and Benoit to win the briefcase.
Edge cashed in the briefcase against John Cena and won the WWE title.
#5 WM 27 - Edge vs Alberto Del Rio
Edge defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio, the winner of 2011 Rumble match. Edge and Del Rio locked horns in the match and put up a great match before the WWE universe. Edge and Del Rio went for their respective signature moves but couldn’t secure the victory.
Edge locked the Edgeucator submission move but Del Rio managed to survive. He later got speared by Edge and eventually lost the match.
This was the last match in Edge’s career as he was not medically cleared by the doctors to compete further. Edge finally vacated the WHC title and quit the company.
