WWE RAW 3rd November 2015- 5 promising developments

Reigns had a decent promo this week

Ending the night on a high noteEven though this week’s RAW wasn’t as great as last week, it will still be considered one of the better attempts at putting on a show. Reigns was again successfully made to look strong. His improvement and growth can’t be ignored. There were also a few pleasant surprise returns. The Divas actually had a lot more substantial material to deal with, and Dean Ambrose was in a match and made it even more clear that having all three members of the Shield together anytime is must-watch TV.Survivor Series is two weeks away and the excitement is already palpable.Having said that, we list out the 5 most promising developments from this week’s show -

#5 The next Top Guy

Reigns had a decent promo this week

Roman Reigns came out to a mostly positive reaction and he began by getting a cheap pop a la Mick Foley. His promo was typical at this stage of becoming the new No. 1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

But this time, his promo wasn’t all that bad. It exuded confidence and it was short and descriptive enough. His script did not drag along for 20 minutes. He kicked off the show, Rollins came out and he did not shut up and The Authority came out and played the perfect heels and set up the show.

This wasn’t a bad start. Reigns still looked strong

#4 You owe me one

Owens had two matches tonight

After a good match with Dolph Ziggler which also saw Tyler Breeze take enough selfies, Kevin Owens was walking backstage after his victory when he encountered Seth Rollins.

Seth Rollins, in his search for a tag team partner for the main event of RAW, met Kevin Owens backstage. If that wasn’t glorious enough, Owens accepted to be on Team Rollins but all of this happened after Rollins put forward an offer Owens couldn’t refuse.

He kept talking about Owens Vs Rollins, champion vs champion for Wrestlemania. That’s how he got Owens in his team. And now he owes Owens one. Hope this has some continuity.

#3 A win

Cesaro makes his way for the match

Two men who certainly deserve better than the opportunities they’re given, faced each other on RAW. Cesaro and Miz had the Cosmic Wasteland watching their match and Cesaro being as entertaining as ever, actually garnered a win.

And this time, he took note of the guests that have had their eyes on him for some time. That surely shows that the shots have been fired and the feud between Cesaro and Stardust is set to begin.

Two highly entertaining performers are going to be engaged in a feud and hopefully they are not relegated to pre-show matches.

One can hope...

#2 Paige vs Charlotte

Paige is the new contender to the Divas Championship

Surely,WWE could have executed it better, but Charlotte vs Paige is a money feud. Had the characters been developed as well on the main roster as they were on NXT, this would have been more awesome.

But we’re getting this feud so soon after Charlotte’s arrival on the main roster and in retrospect, it’s good for a burgeoning rivalry.

Paige won a Fatal Four-Way match which certainly had the Denver crowd’s attention. Then she cut a heel promo and later WWE continued the angle by giving us a Charlotte promo.

For continuity of a storyline involving singles performers than tag teams, this was well done.

#1 The Main Event

Power of the Unicorns

Xavier woods returned to the delight of his teammates and the audience, while the crowd was surprisingly welcoming of their unicorn shtick. Also, in a rare surprise, while everyone might have thought that The Dudleys will join Reigns’ team, his cousins The Usos returned to tag team action for the first time in months.

We got to see Ambrose in a match and he pinned Kevin Owens.

In the end, it was Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins. Though Ambrose stayed by Reigns' side, one can speculate that these three are meant to be in a triple threat match and what better way to do it than Wrestlemania.
