Samoa Joe’s baby, the muscle buster is a move which could bend and break one’s spinal cord. It’s still amazing how Joe has managed to pull this one of for so long without getting some one injured.

The move is clearly designed for the smaller guys but Joe has been lashing this one out on everyone that came across his path but it would be hard to imagine his pulling of it against someone like Undertaker or Kane as the chances of them ending up on the retired list like Nigel McGuiness is very high.

#3 Canadian Destroyer

Made famous by Petey Williams in TNA, the Canadian Destroyers used to be a marquee finisher in the company’s early X Division days. It also has a great danger element to it since the wrestler could easily end up landing on his neck which could cause deadly results as we all have seen in the past.

The Canadian Destroyer also is a two man move as it requires a lot of coordination and communication between the attacker and the victim to pull it off correctly.

If you think that Pile drivers are dangerous, just see this variant. A mixture of power bomb and pile driver, the Omega driver is the signature move of Indy circuit main stay Chuck Taylor.

Also known as the Awful Waffle, the move clearly puts the victim’s spine on the line along with the skull crashing impact. Chances of getting to see moves like this in the WWE aren’t that high since, it’s easy to get injured with this one.

#5 Cop Killah

If delivering a Piledriver while facing your opponent wasn’t bad enough, Homicide had an idea of driving his opponent using his back. There was least control whatsoever in his hands while doing the move and the risks of it getting botched were much higher compared to the regular pile driver.

A lethal move showcased by him in both TNA and ROH, the cop killah is simply one of those moves that puts a wrestlers wellbeing into question.

#6 Victory Star Drop

Well they’re not WWE divas they are Japanese Women Wrestlers. The Victory star drop was the finisher of Manami Toyota who rarely found opponents willing to take this move.

There was simply too much risk involved with this one as the attacker also didn’t have much control over what is was to happen after it happens. There was a lot of pressure on the whole upper body section of the victim as well making it one worth saving for the big matches.

#7 Apron BRAINBUSTAAAAAHHHHH

One of the reasons why Sami Zayn is now in WWE is the incredible move set that he has. And one of the most dangerous ones from that lot is his Apron brain buster.

An average brain buster itself it very devastating, and adding some height and making the turnbuckle the landing spot takes thing to a whole new level. The amount of danger involved in the move is probably why we don’t get to see it in NXT but once a bigger stage arrives we might have it in front of us.

#8 Turnbuckle Steenalizer

Kevin Steen is arguably the hottest commodity in the independent circuit at the moment. And the reason why he is seen in such regard is because of the versatility that he brings into the matches.

One moment you will be seeing him doing some 450 splash or a moonsault and the next moment he will be delivering vicious power moves like this. The Steenalizer itself is a great risk and adding turnbuckle into it makes this move more deadly.

#9 Burning Hammer

Kenta Kobashi is one of the most popular wrestling stars in Japan and there were certain reasons why he was so much loved.

And one was his burning hammer, though he only pulled off the move seven times in his career, Kenta made it look epic each and every time. An inverted Death Valley driver, the victim’s neck and spine was on the line for this one which had the aid of gravity and strength to add in the punishment.

#10 Tiger Driver

Those who are familiar with the original ECW might know that the reason why Tazz got his career shortened was a botched spike Piledriver. And the Tiger Driver is something which is the integrated version of that spike Piledriver without the need of any botching to break a neck.

The move was invented by Jaguar Yakoto but it was made famous by Mitsuharu Misawa. A career shortening move, it’s like Triple H’s pedigree with a lot worse after effects.

#11 Avalanche Bloody Sunday

Japan has always produced some thrilling moves for the fans and this one belongs to that category under the move set of Price Devitt.

It is a combination of Jake Roberts’ DDT and the high spot technique which makes the move the most dangerous one from the lot. The chances of someone getting knocked out from this DDT are always high.

Top spot and the severity of the DDT allow no margin of error whatsoever as the wrestlers’ life depends on it.

But then again, this is what every wrestler out there does, getting his body one the line for the love of his life: the professional wrestling business.
