San Antonio Spurs v Los Angeles Lakers
Los Angeles Lakers vs. San Antonio Spurs

The 2022-2023 NBA season continues on Sunday, November 20, with 16 teams in action on the day. Take a look at three strong team bets for tonight's action, featuring the Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors, and Brooklyn Nets.

Best NBA Team Bet #1: Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs Over 229.5 Points (-110)

The 4-10 Los Angeles Lakers ranked among the NBA's best defenses to begin the season. The Lakers defense, however, has come crashing down over the past couple of weeks. Los Angeles ranks just 25th in opponents points per game and 18th in defensive rating.

The Los Angeles Lakers defense has been bad, however, their opponents, the 6-11 San Antonio Spurs, have had the worst defense in the NBA. San Antonio ranks 30th in opponents' points per game and defensive rating.

Although neither offense has been great to start the season, this should be a high scoring affair as both defenses have struggled to stop teams lately. Look for the Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs to combine to score at least 230 points.

Best NBA Team Bet #2: Golden State Warriors -10 (-110)

The Golden State Warriors have been one of the NBA's most surprising teams early in the season, as the defending champions are just 7-9. This has largely been due to defensive struggles. After finishing last season ranked third in opponents points per game and first in defensive rating, the Warriors are ranked just 28th in opponents points per game and 24th in defensive rating in 2022-2023. Despite their defensive struggles, Golden State remains one of the NBA's top offenses, ranking fourth in points per game and 12th in offensive rating.

Unlike the Warriors, their opponent, the 3-13 Houston Rockets, have been bad on both sides of the court. The Rockets are ranked just 29th in points per game and 27th in offensive rating, while they are ranked 23rd in opponents points per game and 28th in defensive rating.

Look for Golden State's offense to take advantage of Houston's poor defense. Expect the Warriors to win this game by more than ten points.

Best NBA Team Bet #3: Brooklyn Nets -7.5 (-110)

Under normal circumstances, the 7-9 Brooklyn Nets would not be such heavy favorites against the 10-6 Memphis Grizzlies. Sunday's game, however, will not be played under normal circumstances. In addition to Danny Green and Zaire Williams, who have both yet to make their season debuts, the Grizzlies will be without starters Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr. Additionally, star point guard Kyrie Irving appears set to return from his team-imposed eight-game suspension.

With the Grizzlies missing so much talent and the Nets getting Irving back, this game should not be close. Look for Brooklyn to win by at least eight points.
