Can Baker Mayfield lead the Carolina Panthers to an upset over the Baltimore Ravens?
Can Baker Mayfield lead the Carolina Panthers to an upset over the Baltimore Ravens?

The Carolina Panthers make yet another switch at the QB position as they head to Charm City to take on the Baltimore Ravens.

Baker Mayfield will be under center for the Panthers. Lamar Jackson will lead a resurgent Ravens offense.

Today we look at the best DFS plays from this intriguing match-up.

Best quarterback picks

Cash Games: Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens (DraftKings $8.4K, FanDuel $8.4K)

Lamar Jackson is the ultimate chalk play in this one. Jackson should have his way as a passer and runner against the Carolina Panthers' defense.

Tournaments: Baker Mayfield, QB, Carolina Panthers (Draftkings $5K, FanDuel $6.4K)

Playing Baker Mayfield in DFS, given how he has looked so far in 2022, is a wild concept. Not many DFS players have the stomach for it. We expect the Ravens to score plenty of points. If Baker Mayfield is chasing, he should throw the ball a ton in this one.

Best running back picks

Cash Games: D'Onta Foreman, RB, Carolina Panthers (DraftKings $5.9K, FanDuel $7.1K)

When Chuba Hubbard went down with an injury, D'Onta Foreman assumed the workload for the Carolina Panthers. Foreman has excelled in the last few weeks. Hubbard is back now, but I don't see Foreman relinquishing the alpha-back duties.

Tournament: Kenyan Drake, RB, Baltimore Ravens (DraftKings $5.9K, FanDuel $6.8K)

Kenyan Drake has looked terrific when allowed to carry the Baltimore Ravens backfield. The concern for the DFS player is the return of Gus Edwards. The Ravens' coaching staff immediately gave Gus Edwards the primary back duties upon his return weeks ago.

My feeling here is that they will ease Edwards in this time around, hoping to avoid any potential setbacks. A match-up where they should smash the Panthers' on the ground, Kenyan Drake remains in play.

Wide receivers and tight ends

Cash game: Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens (DraftKings $6.8K, FanDuel 7.7K)

Keep an eye on the injury report leading up to the game. Mark Andrews has been participating in practice but has yet to get into full practice. The expectation is that Andrews will play and immediately slide back into the top pass-catching option for the Baltimore Ravens.

Tournament: Terrace Marshall, WR, Carolina Panthers (DraftKings $4.4K, FanDuel $5.8K)

Terrace Marshall has arrived at DFS consideration. The second-year WR has had a tumultuous career with plenty of ups and downs, but the light may have turned on for the former LSU Tiger standout.

Marshall is receiving every-down duties now that Carolina traded Robbie Anderson to the Arizona Cardinals. The Baltimore Ravens' pass defense remains an area to target. If Baker Mayfield can play like an NFL QB on Sunday, Marshall is a dart throw for your DFS tournament lineup.
