Buccaneers vs. 49ers: Odds, Lines, Picks, and Prediction | Week 14 | The GOAT Returns Home

New Orleans Saints v Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tom Brady racked up 281 passing yards in his game against New Orleans last week.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will head to San Fransisco to play the 49ers for their Week 14 matchup. Tom Brady is a Northern California native, and there are rumors that this may be his landing spot next season.

However, that's not what matters this week. Both teams are barely holding on to their first-place positions in their respective divisions and desperately need a win this week.

This will be a better matchup, but less enticing than it would have been two weeks ago. Jimmy Garapolo was Brady's backup in New England for three years, dating from 2014 - 2016. While that was the matchup fans were hoping to see, Jimmy G went down with an ankle injury last week against Miami. Instead, the Buccs will face Brock Purdy.

Buccaneers vs. 49ers Best Picks

Brock Purdy played all but one drive against the Dolphins last week -- the one Garoppolo was injured on. He managed a respectable 210 yards with a 56.9 quarterback rating.

There is no indication that Purdy is the league's next great signal caller. Tampa Bay should put him in his place. Bettors should grab the under on his props, and if by some miracle the over hits, bettors can shrug it off as they witness the beginning of the next great QBs career.

Brokc Purdy Under 196.5 Passing Yards (-114)

Buccaneers vs. 49ers Prediction

This will be a close, low-scoring game. Tampa Bay continues to win games on the back of their tremendous defense, and while Brock Purdy had a solid game against Miami last week, Tampa Bay now has tape on him.

While backup quarterbacks typically take a drastic step back in their second game, it will be exaggerated by playing a team like Tampa Bay.

San Francisco will likely be held to single digits, and Brady will only need two touchdowns to pick up the win this week.

The moneyline is a great play here, as is the under; those who feel inclined may parlay it for a crazy (+297) payout. However, the more advisable move for the parlay would be to take the points, which still yields an excellent return at (+220).

Tampa Bay (+154) & Under 37.5 (-110)
