Golden State Warriors vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction: Injury Report, Starting 5s, Betting Odds & Picks - December 16 | 2022-23 NBA Season

Sacramento Kings v Philadelphia 76ers
Golden State Warriors vs Philadelphia 76ers NBA Prediction

The Golden State Warriors' title defense this season has been one of the bumpiest roads any defending champ has ever faced, and it got even bumpier on Wednesday night. Steph Curry had to leave early with a shoulder injury and is out for at least a few weeks because of it.

They've also struggled heavily on the road and are facing a Philadelphia 76ers team that is starting to get into a groove.

Tonight will show whether Golden State still has their championship resilience, or if Philadelphia will continue to stack wins to establish themselves as Easter Conference contenders.

Golden State Warriors vs. Philadelphia 76ers Injury Report

For the Warriors, Andre Iguodala (hip) and Andrew Wiggins (adductor) have been mainstays on the injury report for a while now. However, they're now unfortunately joined by team leaders Steph Curry (shoulder) and Draymond Green (Quadriceps).

The 76ers only have Tyrese Maxey (foot) listed as out. Danuel House Jr. (foot) and Furkan Korkmaz (illness) are both probable to play tonight.

Golden State Warriors vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction

Well, the Warriors could barely win on the road this year with Steph Curry healthy, as evidenced by their 2-13 record outside of Chase Center. I can't imagine that they will suddenly figure it out without him, especially not against a Sixers team that has won five straight at home. Philadelphia also owns one of the league's best defenses as they allow the third-fewest points per game. Steph Curry's absence should have a clear impact on Golden State's offense, especially against a tough defensive unit.

Since James Harden returned on December 5th, Philly has scored at least 123 points in every game they've played. The Warriors give up 123.3 points per game on the road, a large part of the reason they haven't been winning those games. I think the 76ers will dominate this game wire-to-wire and walk away with an easy victory.

Prediction: 76ers -8.5 (-110)
