Andre Iguodala Rookie Year

The Philadelphia 76ers selected Andre Iguodala as the ninth overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft. His Rookie season went very well after being criticized by many especially by the ESPN anchor Dick Vitale as he will not be able to play well and selecting him was not a good choice. Iguodala was the only 76er to play and start all 82 regular-season games plus five playoff games during his first season after being put into the starting lineup right away. He was the only rookie and 76er that season to score a triple-double thus, he proved his versatility. He averaged 9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.7 steals a game this season and therefore voted fourth in the NBA Rookie of the year and was named in the NBA Rookie first team.
