NBA Best Bets Today: Los Angeles Clippers & More, December 17 | 2022-23 NBA Regular Season

Oklahoma City Thunder v New Orleans Pelicans
Oklahoma City Thunder v New Orleans Pelicans

There are seven NBA games scheduled for Saturday, December 17, and this will definitely be an interesting day of games.

We will dive into the nitty-gritty of three teams that bettors should place their tickets on and we will explain exactly why they should do so against the spread.

NBA Best Team Bet #1: Los Angeles Clippers -6.5 (-110)

The Los Angeles Clippers will be hosting the Washington Wizards this afternoon and this feels like a huge win for the Clippers. The Wizards are on a six-game losing streak and just played the Clippers at home last week, where they lost by seven points.

Both shooting guards Bradley Beal and power forward Rui Hachimara are ruled out for this game, so things are going to be tough scoring the basketball. Los Angeles has covered in six of the previous seven games against Washington so expect more of the same.

NBA Best Team Bet #2: Milwaukee Bucks -4 (-110)

This number opened at 6.5 points so we are getting a little extra cushion here. The Bucks are still one of the most dominant teams in basketball as they go up against the Utah Jazz in their own building.

Looking at the defensive numbers as of late, Utah is allowing 117 points in their previous five games while Milwaukee is holding their opponents to 113.8 points per game.

Having the likes of power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo on the floor and dominating the game in all facets is going to be a huge plus. Go with the Milwaukee Bucks to continue their dominance at home as they are 13-3 overall inside of the Fiserv Forum.

NBA Best Team Bet #3: New Orleans Pelicans +3.5 (-110)

In one of the most intriguing games on the entire slate, the New Orleans Pelicans are on the road to take on a Western Conference foe in the Phoenix Suns.

This is the fourth and final time and the Pelicans are holding a 2-1 season series advantage right now over them.

There are a few impactful injuries that will affect this game as small forward Brandon Ingram is out with a toe injury for New Orleans while center DeAndre Ayton will miss this game for Phoenix as he recovers from an ankle injury. Expect the Pelicans to dictate the tempo and potentially win the game outright.
