Nadal continued to own the French Open, lifting the trophy on eight occasions in 10 years. The Spaniard also pocketed the US Open 4 times. He defeated Novak Djokovic in the 2010 and 2013 summit clashes.

He then outclassed Kevin Anderson in the 2017 edition following which he pocketed the 2019 US Open, outlasting the 23-year-old Daniil Medvedev in five sets in a marathon final that lasted almost 5 hours.

The Spaniard also emerged triumphant at Wimbledon in 2010, defeating Tomas Berdych 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 in the final.
