Day 1 of the 2015 Wimbledon championships was as action-packed as it was emotional.
Lleyton Hewitt bowed out of Wimbledon after losing a tough five setter against Jarkko Nieminen on Court 2; this was the last time the Australian would ever play at SW19. Some of the other results included Novak Djokovic’s straight sets win over Philipp Kohlschreiber, and Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova reaching the second round with comfortable wins.
