The third day of main draw action at the Geneva Open on Tuesday (May 23) will feature four first-round and two second-round matches. Two seeds - one of whom is also a wildcard - and two qualifiers will be in action at the ATP 250 claycourt event.

On Monday, the likes of Nicolas Jarry, Adrian Mannarino, and Roberto Carballes Baena emerged victorious, respectively beating Dusan Lajovic, Filip Krajinovic, and qualifier Daniel Rincon.

Here's a look at how the following four first-round matches in Geneva on Tuesday could pan out.

#1 Guido Pella vs Ilya Ivashka

Guido Pella, playing with a protected ranking, takes on Ilya Ivashka in his Geneva opener.

World No. 421 Pella is 4-6 on the season, coming off a second-round appearance at Rome last fortnight. His other wins this year have come at Cordoba, Indian Wells, and Miami. Meanwhile, the 86th-ranked Ivashka (4-10) has also won only four times in 2023 and is on a four-match losing streak.

Pella won his lone meeting with Ivashka at St. Petersburg in 2018 and should prevail again.

Pick: Pella in three sets.

#2 Tallon Griekspoor (Geneva sixth seed) vs Stefano Travaglia

The 39th-ranked Griekspoor is 14-9 on the season, losing his last four matches since making the Marrakech quarterfinals last month. Meanwhile, World No. 282 Travaglia is making his season debut.

This is a first-time matchup, but Griekspoor should return to winning ways here.

Pick: Griekspoor in three sets.

This is another first-time matchup, but expect the American to extend Dellien's misery.

Pick: Wolf in three sets.
