Nick Kyrgios recently boasted about his career achievements on social media, claiming that he had accumulated a hefty amount of prize money and defeated some of the greatest players of all time. However, the Aussie's comments had a negative reception from a large majority of tennis fans.

Earlier this week, Kyrgios took to his social media handle to express pride for not "failing any drug tests" while making daily progress after his wrist injury in 2023. Notably, Kyrgios has been vocal about Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek's recent doping controversies lately.

A fan subsequently replied to his post, criticizing the 29-year-old. The former World No. 13 didn't take kindly to the fan's response as he listed some of the highlights of his career in a further reply. Kyrgios wrote:

"I have an 8 figure career. Grand slam finalist and beaten all of the greatest of all time. Doesn’t seem bad to me. No drugs either,"

Kyrgios' latest post has been criticized by fans on X. One fan emphasized Carlos Alcaraz's feat of downing both Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal before he had turned 20.

"Also, Alcaraz defeated Rafa and Djokovic back to back on clay when he was 19. Forget Alcaraz who is a prodigy, someone like Tomas Berdych has defeated the Big Three thirteen times. None of them have made it their whole personality the way this man has."

Some fans, meanwhile, referenced the Aussie having pled guilty to assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Chiara Passari, in 2023.

"Yet all you’re remembered for is being a woman abuser and a dickhead"

"This is your career," one fan said, along with a screenshot of a report about the Aussie's assault case.

Some fans shared their opinion on Kyrgios' mention of being a Grand Slam finalist.

"Grand slam finalist because Rafa withdrew," one fan wrote.
"Let's be honest here. Nobody remembers GS finalists. If tomorrow you stopped tweeting, I'd give it a year before people forget who Nick is," another fan wrote.

Here are some more fan reactions:

"You have 0 Slams, 0 masters. While you have money in your account - at the highest level you have very little to show for," one fan wrote.
"In every tweet u mention that u never failed a drug test, is this your cope for being unsuccessful?" a fan wrote.
"A guy who got away with taking drugs and assaulting his partner is accusing others of 'taking advantage of the system'... peak level of irony," another fan wrote.
