Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, has often drawn attention for his remarks about Drake. He once again appeared to mock the rapper over his latest controversy with Kendrick Lamar, sparking reactions from amused fans.
Drake and Lamar have been feuding since the early 2010s, with numerous diss tracks exchanged between the two. The tension escalated on Monday, November 25 when the Canadian's company, Frozen Moments, filed a petition in a New York court, accusing Spotify and Universal Music Group of conspiring to inflate the streams of the American's diss track 'Not Like Us.'
Following that, Ohanian, a big Kendrick Lamar fan, shared a cryptic tweet on November 26, referencing a famous Dave Chappelle skit, seemingly poking fun at Drake. The skit mocks media outlets for asking Ja Rule's opinion on serious issues.
"What is Ja Rule up to these days?" he wrote.
Ohanian didn’t explicitly mention Drake, but fans quickly began speculating that it was aimed at the rapper, fueling the ongoing drama. One user wrote:
"He [Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian] truly hates Drake."
Another wrote:
"This is the most fun I had on Twitter in months fam I'm crying."
"You better be careful, or he might give it to ya," another user added.
One account posted:
"Serena’s husband gon’ have something to say every time and I’m here for it."
"Bro is over here asking the real questions," one user tweeted.
Another chimed in:
"My god probably best question on X today my friend lol."
Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian claps back at Drake's "groupie" diss
Serena Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, have a long history with Drake, with the tennis star once rumored to be dating the rapper. In 2022, Drake released an album called 'Her Loss,' featuring a song titled 'Middle of the Ocean,' with the following lyrics:
"Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie. He claim we don’t got a problem but no, boo, it is like you comin’ for sushi. We might pop up on ’em at will like Suzuki."
Ohanian didn’t take long to respond to the diss. He clapped back on X, saying he was proud to be a "groupie" for his wife and their daughter Olympia.
"The reason I stay winning is because I'm relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do — including being the best groupie for my wife & daughter," the Reddit co-founder wrote.
Ohanian continues to show his support for Kendrick Lamar, recently giving a shout-out to the rapper after the release of his new album 'GNX.'
