Andy Roddick’s wife Brooklyn Decker has made a hilarious assessment about the former World No. 1's participation in the Pickleball Slam along with Andre Agassi, John McEnroe and Michael Chang.

Roddick, Agassi, McEnroe and Chang will be switching their tennis racquets for pickleball paddles as they get ready for the inaugural Pickleball Slam. The one-day event is set to be held on April 2 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

The Americans have been engaging in light-hearted banter and some hilarious smack talk ahead of the Slam. But Andy Roddick’s wife Brooklyn Decker recently sent out a word of caution about the players’ intentions at the event.

The American model claimed that while the four players have been making light of the whole event, they have secretly been training hard for it.

“One week from today @pickleballslam,” Brooklyn Decker wrote on her Instagram story.
“PS – Don’t let these dudes fool you. They’ve been training VERY hard for this,” Decker added alongside a video of Andy Roddick talking about the upcoming event.

The former tennis players will be seen trying their hand at America’s fastest growing sport for a $1 million purse, which will be split based on their wins.

The event will have three matches. In singles, Andy Roddick will square off against Michael Chang while Andre Agassi will battle it out against John McEnroe. The third match will be a doubles clash, with Roddick and Agassi pairing up against Chang and McEnroe.

Andre Agassi is excited to turn the clock back for one day at the upcoming Pickleball Slam. The former American tennis player, who played his last competitive match in 2006, recently stated that the event was a good excuse for him to get in better shape.

"It's an excuse for me to get in better shape, fire up my competitive juices. There's a huge curiosity and speculation as to how our skills will translate, and it will be a great time at Hard Rock Live," he said.

The former World No. 1 also revealed that he had started his Slam preparations in February itself.

"My prep really started in February, playing two to three times per week, trying to manage the risk profile of shot selections," Agassi said. "In February and early March, I started to throw some singles into the equation."

The singles matches are worth one point each, while the doubles match is worth two points.
