Novak Djokovic flagged off his 379th week as the World No. 1 in this week's ATP rankings. Carlos Alcaraz was expected to challenge the Serb for the top spot, but an injury ruled him out of the Mexican Open. The teenager remained steady at No. 2.

With Djokovic unable to compete in the upcoming Indian Wells Masters, Alcaraz could reclaim the No. 1 ranking by winning the title. Stefanos Tsitsipas (No. 3), Casper Ruud (No. 4), and Taylor Fritz (No. 5) occupy the same positions from last week.

Daniil Medvedev has staged a fantastic turnaround since his exit from the top 10 a few weeks ago. The Russian clinched his third title on the trot at the Dubai Tennis Championships. He moved up a spot to No. 6 this week. Andrey Rublev was pushed down to No. 7 as a result.

Holger Rune's semifinal finish at the Mexican Open has pushed him up by a couple of places to No. 8, a new career high for him. The Danish youngster has had a remarkable few months as he continues his steady climb to the top of the men's game.

Rafael Nadal slid by a spot to No. 9 this week. He's set to miss the Indian Wells Masters as he continues his rehabilitation from an injury. His lengthy stay in the top 10 of the ATP rankings will conclude following the end of the tournament.

Nadal was the runner-up there last year and will drop 600 points, enough to push him out of the region. He entered the top 10 for the first time on April 24, 2005 as a teenager and after 912 straight weeks, is set to leave it. Felix Auger-Aliassime (No. 10) rounds out this week's top 10.

Alex de Minaur claimed his first title at the ATP 500 level by winning the Mexican Open. His title-winning run has pushed him back into the top 20 of the ATP rankings as he moved up by four spots to No. 18. Runner-up Tommy Paul is also up by four places to No. 19.

Nicholas Jarry, who won the Chile Open over the weekend, recorded a massive jump in the rankings as a result. He moved up by 35 places to No. 52. Tomas Martin Etcheverry is up to No. 61 this week, a new career high after a runner-up finish at the Chile Open.

Tallon Griekspoor (No. 36), Mikael Ymer (No. 57), Juan Pablo Varillas (No. 76), Nuno Borges (No. 80), and Max Purcell (No. 95) are the other players to record new career highs this week.
