Nadal and Alcaraz have entertained crowds in their campaign so far in Paris. The duo won the opening round 7-6 (4), 6-4, against Argentina's Maximo Gonzales and Andres Molteni. The pair next beat the Netherlands' Tallon Griekspoor and Wesley Koolhof, 6-4, 6-7 (2), 10-2, in a challenging second round match.

Following the hard-won triumph, Nadal was spotted giving what looked to be some post-match coaching to his young compatriot. Alcaraz, meanwhile, seemed to be listening intently to the 22-time Grand Slam champion during their discussion.

Following the Spaniards' triumph in the second round of the Olympics men's doubles competition, Carlos Alcaraz shared with reporters how Nadal gave him directions at various points during the match. He said that Nadal told him where to position himself during their match.

"Sometimes when I didn't know where to go Rafa told me: "but where are you going? Go to your place!" Alcaraz said.

Alcaraz also told the press that the duo had expected their performance to improve after their first round match and he was now feeling more suited to playing doubles.

“We knew that this match was going to be better than the first one. We know each other much better on the court. We know how we have to play in the doubles. I feel like I was more of a doubles player,” Alcaraz said, (Via Olympic.com)

Nadal and Alcaraz's campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics now continues into the quarterfinals, where they will face the USA's Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek. The American duo eliminated Brazil's Thiago Seyboth Wild and Thiago Monteiro 6-4, 7-6 (3) in the second round to secure their place in the final eight.
