Elena Rybakina has decided to give back to Kazakhstan's tennis future by donating her 2022 Wimbledon prize money to 14 junior players.

With a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory over No. 3 Ons Jabeur in the Wimbledon 2022 final, Rybakina became the first ever Kazakh player to win a Grand Slam singles title, male or female. The 23-year-old also became the youngest woman to lift the Venus Rosewater Dish since 21-year-old Petra Kvitova in 2011.

Rybanika is currently the fourth-youngest active Major champion on the Hologic WTA Tour. She is only behind World No. 1 Iga Swiatek, 2019 US Open Champion Bianca Andreescu and 2021 US Open winner Emma Raducanu on the list.

Elena Rybakina said after winning SW19 that she wanted to organize a tournament or establish a grant for junior Kazakh players. She pointed out that she had herself received a lot of support in the country.

"I think it would be the right thing to organize a tournament or to establish grants for junior players because I myself got a lot of support in Kazakhstan. Now, it's my turn to help the younger generation grow," she said.

According to Qazmonitor, the 2023 Indian Wells champion has kept her word and now transferred $5,500 USD each to rising female players in the country.

"I was trying not to think that it's match point, just try to fight every point" - Elena Rybakina on her victory over Paul Badosa at Miami Open 2023

Elena Rybakina kept her Sunshine Double hopes alive with a fighting victory over Paula Badosa at the 2023 Miami Open. After falling behind a set and facing match point in the second, the Kazakh rallied to win 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Following the win, Rybakina stated that her opponent Badosa played exceptionally well and that she was "happy" to win in three sets.

"Well, I was trying not to think that it's match point, just try to fight every point. I think in the first set, I was playing not so bad, it was just some moments here and there and it didn't go my way," Rybakina said.
"Paula played really well until the end, we both fought. So, yeah, I'm just happy that I managed to win in three sets," she added.

Rybakina will next face Belgium's Elise Mertens in the fourth round, who beat Petra Martic in straight sets to advance.
