A new graphic t-shirt, Genie Tee, launched in honor of Canadian tennis player Eugenie Bouchard after her comeback to professional tennis in 2022 is now available in Canada.

Launched in December 2022, the t-shirt made headlines as it was not available in Canada - Eugenie Bouchard's home country.

The new t-shirt was released by her sponsor New Balance and features a vivid logo of the former World No. 5 on the front and the word 'Genie' with the number 22 on the back. The shirts were only available for sale in the United States.

Bouchard has revealed that she designed the shirts herself. Taking to social media, Bouchard was happy to share the news that the t-shirt was now available in Canada and hoped the fans would be wearing it.

"My Genie Tee is now available in Canada! Can’t wait to see you guys wearing it 🥰," she tweeted.

The number 22 on the back of the t-shirt represented her return to the tour in 2022 following her injury hiatus.

Eugenie Bouchard has been erractic since her return to tennis following surgery on her shoulder in 2021. She made a comeback to competitive tennis in the middle of 2022 after being on the sidelines for more than 18 months.

Bouchard played the Odlum Brown VanOpen in Vancouver in 2022 and lost to Arianne Hartono in the Round of 32. The 28-year-old then participated in the qualifiers of the US Open 2022 and won her first-round match before losing out to fourth seed Linda Noskova, 6-2, 6-3.

Bouchard then received a wildcard to compete at the Chennai Open, a WTA 250 tournament. Having started off on a good note, she lost in the quarterfinals to Argentine Nadia Podoroska.

At the Korean Open, Bouchard lost in the first round, and her streak of main draw losses continued until the Guadalajara Open. In Mexico, she beat Kayla Day in the Round of 64 before bowing out to Jelena Ostapenko in the next round.

The 2023 season has also not been very memorable for the Canadian. She was last seen in action at the 2023 Australian Open, where she lost in the first round of the qualifiers to Ashlyn Krueger of the United States.

Prior to the Australian Open, she competed at the ASB Classic in Auckland, where she withdrew from the tournament ahead of her second qualifying match due to food poisoning.

Bouchard is currently ranked 319th in the world.
