Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has shown her support for Zendaya's much-anticipated movie 'Challengers'. She was present at the movie's recent premiere held in Los Angeles.

Zendaya is busy promoting her new film, in which she plays a tennis player's role. The movie is the story of tennis star Tashi Donaldson, played by Zendaya. After a knee injury prevents Tashi from playing, she takes up coaching duties to train her husband Art Donaldson, played by Mike Faist. The movie is a dark-comedy love triangle.

The 30-year-old Bouchard, who was present for the premiere in a dazzling black dress, clicked pictures with the actress.

Bouchard shared the photos by captioning her post:

For her yet another 'tennis core' look, Zendaya was seen wearing a stylish gown of a tennis ball color. During her promotional tour of the same film, the actress has slayed many tennis-themed outfits.

Along with Bouchard, other stars from the tennis world were present for the premiere as well. That includes seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams and former World No. 1 Tracy Austin to name a few.

2014 Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard is currently ranked 327th in the world. The former World No. 5 stunned the fans in September last year when she announced that she would be joining the Professional Pickleball Association for the 2024 season. But she insisted that she won't be retiring from tennis and will play both sports.

Bouchard made her PTA debut in January 2024. Her debut did not go well as the Canadian lost all three matches. The matches were part of the Hyundai Masters, a professional pickleball event.

In her singles match, she lost to Ekaterina Biakina 11-1, 11-7. After her loss, she admitted that the sport was still new to her.

“This was so different and new. It was the fear of the unknown. I had months of practice but I didn’t know what to expect. It was nerve-wracking,” Bouchard told PPATour.com.
"Look, Pickleball is crazy," she added.

Pickleball, often described as the mix of tennis, badminton and ping pong, is not as easy as it seems, according to Bouchard. She said it was not easy to transition from tennis to pickleball as there are many small differences.

She was quoted as saying:

“It’s wild for me to just play a completely different sport. I’ve played tennis for 25 years now, and so my brain is like wired for tennis.”
