The Japanese looked menacing as she took the first set into the tiebreaker, but the World No. 1 emerged victorious in the first set.

However, the 26-year-old came back with a bang in the second set, losing only one game to win it 6-1.

The third set also looked like it was going the Japanese's way. She led 5-2 but Swiatek showed extraordinary guile to not crumble under pressure and prove why she is the top seed. The 22-year-old won five games in a row to seal the set 7-5 in her favor.

As soon as she earned the winning points, Swiatek was expressionless and had a muted celebration. An X account named 'Out of Context Iga Swiatek' posted a video of her celebration after the winning point.

Some fans claimed that her celebrations were muted because she knew she had to get better.
