In Pictures: Ben Shelton goes on a sushi date with sister Emma and her boyfriend as he makes the most of his off-season in Florida

Ben Shelton recently went on a sushi dinner date with his sister Emma, and her boyfriend during his off-season in Florida. Prior to this, Shelton wrapped up his tennis season after competing in the knockout stages of the 2024 Davis Cup Finals.

During the quarterfinals of the Davis Cup, the USA team, led by captain Bob Bryan, faced off against Australia. The American team consisted of Shelton, Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Rajeev Ram, and Austin Krajicek.

The 22-year-old played in the opening singles match and the doubles match alongside Paul, losing both fixtures. Team USA were eliminated from the tournament after losing the quarterfinals tie 2-1 to Australia, with their only win coming in after Fritz defeated Alex de Minaur in the second singles match.

Following his Davis Cup campaign and the conclusion of his tennis season, Ben Shelton returned home to Florida. He recently took to social media to share a video of himself enjoying a sushi dinner date with his sister and her boyfriend, Alexandre at a local Japanese restaurant

Ben Shelton had a successful season this year, winning one title - the 2024 Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship in Houston by defeating Frances Tiafoe in the final . He also had a runner-up finish at the Swiss Indoors in Basel, falling to Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the championship match.

The former World No.13 had semifinal finishes at the 2024 ASB Classic, Dallas Open, and Citi Open, as well as quarterfinal runs at the Mexican Open, Mallorca Championships, Cincinnati Masters, and Japan Open.

Shelton also competed in all four Grand Slam tournaments, with his best result being a fourth-round run at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. He reached the third round at the Australian Open, French Open, and US Open.

Ben Shelton will kick off his 2025 season at the ASB Classic in Auckland, where he made it to the semifinals in 2024.

This year, Shelton was the top seed at the ATP 250 hard court tournament this year. He began his campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye and defeated Fabian Marozsan with a score of 6-3, 6-3 in the opening round.

In the quarterfinals, the 22-year-old triumphed over Roberto Carballes Baena with a score of 6-4, 6-3. His campaign came to an end in the semifinals when he was defeated by the eventual runner-up, Taro Daniel, with a score of 5-7, 6-7(9).
