Andre Agassi has added another feather to his cap with his highly acclaimed commentary role at the 2025 French Open. The American legend earned accolades from tennis fans after his astute analysis of Carlos Alcaraz's game.
Agassi joined the likes of John McEnroe, Chris Evert, Venus Williams, and Sloane Stephens as a studio analyst for the TNT Sports coverage of the claycourt Major this year. Despite being new to the role, the eight-time Grand Slam champion has already gained fans for his impressive performance.
During a recent segment, Andre Agassi shared an in-depth analysis of the adjustment Carlos Alcaraz had made to his backhand since last year.
With John McEnroe facing severe backlash for his commentary during Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner's semifinal clash, fans claimed that the eight-time Grand Slam champion had already surpassed McEnroe as a commentator.
"Makes John Mac look like an amateur," one fan commented.
"John McEnroe would never 😩," another fan chimed in.
Fans also praised Agassi's "insightful" analysis about Alcaraz and suggested that he should be a permanent member of the commentary team.
"Andre should be a fixture in the booth. He’s so insightful," one fan posted.
"Unreal. Keep that man on tv," another fan wrote.
"Andre Agassi being involved in tennis coverage, analysis, storytelling, and commentary is a huge win for the sport," a fan remarked.
"Andre Agassi is top shelf. Well spoken, has a personality and can really go in-depth on the tennis analysis this is easy to consume. Keep that man on the air," said another.
To the great delight of fans, Andre Agassi will also be sharing his insights during the upcoming French Open final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.
Andre Agassi gives the advantage to Carlos Alcaraz in French Open final against Jannik Sinner

Speaking to TNT Sports recently, Andre Agassi expressed his belief that Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner had separated themselves from the rest of the field at the 2025 French Open. The former World No. 1 also said Alcaraz would have the advantage if they met at the claycourt Major, while the Italian was more likely to come out on top on hard courts.
"When I look at Alcaraz and Sinner as the two that have sort of pulled away from the pack, I see advantage Sinner on any surface that is firm underneath. I see Alcaraz having a slight advantage on any surface that I would call slippery," Andre Agassi said.
Agassi also highlighted the significant difference between Alcaraz and Sinner's playing styles and expressed excitement about watching their campaigns unfold.
"I see two guys that play the game certainly differently, Sinner from corners, you think you’re in control of the point and you’re neutral. You’ve got Alcaraz that can make magic happen from any square centimetre on a tennis court. So, I think the storyline for the French Open is wide open and I’m excited to watch it unfold," he added.
Carlos Alcaraz enjoys a 7-4 lead in his head-to-head record against Jannik Sinner, including a 7-6(5), 6-1 victory in the 2025 Italian Open final. The Spaniard also defeated Sinner in a dramatic five-set battle in the semifinals of the French Open last year.
