Tennis legend Martina Navratilova shares her frustration over former US President Donald Trump's acquittal in his second impeachment trial.

Trump was the 45th President of the United States of America and was the only President in history to face two impeachment trials. The first stemmed from a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding the presidential elections. The second impeachment stemmed from a mob attack on the Capitol on 6 January 2021 for which he was charged with 'incitement of insurrection'. Trump was acquitted of all charges during both the trials.

The former World No.1, who is known for voicing her strong opinions, shared an image of herself at a rally in December 2019 to convict Trump in which she is holding a sign saying, "Nobody is above the law." A frustrated Navratilova wrote how she believes Trump should have been convicted the second time around.

"Still true today- NOBODY is above the law. Impeached twice - should have been convicted, especially the 2nd time.#chargetrump." she captioned the tweet.

This is not the first time Navratilova has hit out at Trump, and she has also been vocal about her opinions of the Republican President in the past as well, condemning his actions.

American tennis great Martina Navratilova actively voices her political opinions on social media. She recently criticized the state of Florida for approving a proposal to give more power to its Governor over Disney's theme parks in Orlando, Florida.

Florida lawmakers gave their final approval over a proposal that gave Governor Ron DeSantis more control over Disney. Disney has held special powers since the 1960s which allowed them to levy more taxes on their properties in a special district called Reedy Creek Improvement District.

Under the approved proposal, Reedy Creek Improvement District's existing board shall be replaced and handpicked by Gov. DeSantis. It will also be rebranded as “Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.”

The Florida government's move comes in the wake of Disney's criticism of the 'Don't Say Gay' Bill in Florida, which restricted certain conversations about gender identity and sexual orientation in the classroom.

Martina Navratilova, an LGBTQ icon herself and a staunch opponent of Republicans, shared her opinion on the latest proposal to curb Disney's special status.

"Welcome to Florida Dictatorship…." she tweeted.
