Italian tennis star Matteo Berrettini recently shared a heartwarming video of fans coming together to complete a song for Lewis Capaldi, whose Tourette's Syndrome flared up during a concert in Germany.

Lewis Capaldi's fans showed their unwavering support for the singer-songwriter after he experienced a Tourette Syndrome episode while performing on-stage during his concert in Frankfurt, Germany.

Capaldi was performing his 2019 hit "Someone You Loved" when he began exhibiting tics and eventually had to turn away from the microphone, abruptly halting the vocals of the song. Capaldi's fans came to his rescue by singing along in unison and completing the song for him.

The gesture from Capaldi's fans was widely appreciated around the world, including by World No. 24 Berrettini. The Italian shared the video on his Instagram with a blue heart emoji.

Matteo Berrettini will face off against Slovak tennis player Alex Molcan in the opening round of the 2023 Mexican Open. The 26-year old made his debut in the new season at the United Cup, where he emerged victorious over Casper Ruud and Thiago Monteiro in two sets apiece, before sealing his victory against Hubert Hurkacz in the city finals.

Berrettini put up a valiant effort in the semifinals, but ultimately fell to Stefanos Tsitsipas in a thrilling three-set battle. Despite the loss, Italy still managed to defeat Greece and advance to the championship round. Unfortunately, Berrettini was unable to secure the title for his country as he lost his singles tie against Taylor Fritz in the final, allowing the United States to emerge victorious.

With only a few wins to his name, Molcan has had a difficult start to the year. Berrettini will be back in action for the first time since his agonizing defeat to Murray at the 2023 Australian Open.

The World No. 24 has had strong showings in all of his matches so far and is not one to be underestimated despite a 3-3 record for the year. Berrettini's powerful serve will give him an edge against Molcan. He has already unleashed 81 aces across his six matches this season.

Berrettini will face Alex Molcan in Acapulco, Mexico on February 28, 2022 for their first round (Round of 32) match.
