Miami Open 2023: Where to watch, TV schedule, live streaming details and more

With the ongoing BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells reaching its business end, it's time to turn our attention to the upcoming Miami Open. The second event of the North American spring swing is a combined men's and women's competition to be held from March 21 to April 2, 2023.

While the men's tournament is classified as an ATP Masters 1000 event, the women's one has a WTA 1000 billing. The 38th edition of the event will be staged on the grounds of Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Former World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz will return to defend his title on the men's side. The Spanish teenager had an injury-ridden start to the season that saw him miss the Australian Open. He has since won the Argentina Open, reached the final of the Rio Open and is now in the semifinals of the Indian Wells Masters.

Giving him tough competition will be former US Open champion Daniil Medvedev, who is arguably the most in-form men's singles player on the tour right now. The Russian has dominated the tour in the last one month like no other, winning three titles in as many weeks and is now aiming for his fourth trophy of the year at Indian Wells.

Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic will be one of the most prominent absentees along with Rafael Nadal. While the left-hander continues his recovery from a hip injury, the Serb will miss the Miami Open, as the current US rules don't allow the entry of unvaccinated international visitors.

On the women's side, Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina have set up a rematch of their Australian Open final at the BNP Paribas Open this weekend. Needless to say, they will be the two main players in focus in Miami too.

Defending champion Iga Swiatek was thrashed by Rybakina in the semifinals, but more importantly, the Pole has admitted to suffering from discomfort in her ribcage. Nevertheless, the World No. 1, who triumphed in Doha last month, expects to get fit in time for the Miami Open.
