Paula Badosa revealed Colombian popstar Maluma to be her celebrity crush when answering a fan's question in a recent Q&A session she hosted.

Paula Badosa crashed out of the recently concluded WTA 1000 Dubai Tennis Championships after a closely-fought encounter against Liudmila Samsonova. With a scoreline reading 6(3)-7, 7-6(5), 6-4, the clash lasted 3 hours and 22 minutes and was one of the longest matches of the season so far.

"Playing against Paula is always tough. She’s doing unbelievable, so I’m really proud that I stayed on the court until the end," Samsonova said after her win.

Badosa put the loss behind her with a fan interaction session, among other things, on Instagram, where the Spaniard revealed that her celebrity crush is Colombian singer and songwriter Maluma.

The 25-year-old also shared that her favorite coffee order is an almond latte while her favorite weather is summertime.

When asked if she prefers sweet or savory food, the former World No. 2 revealed that while she loves both, chocolate is her overall favorite. She also shared a picture of herself enjoying a chocolate cake.

"Both, but chocolate has my heart. Can even eat it on the floor," Badosa wrote.

Daniil Medvedev expressed his relief at winning the 2023 ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam after a series of disappointing results in 2022 and an early exit from the Australian Open. In the clip recorded after his victory, the Russian talked about how self-doubt can creep in when the results are not going the player's way despite putting in hard work.

"I mean to be honest, I practice hard all the time, so when it doesn't work, you're like, f**k, what am I doing wrong?" Daniil Medvedev said.

The former World No. 2 has had a disappointing start to the 2023 season. Following a win at the United Cup in January, Badosa sustained a thigh injury at the Adelaide International 2 that forced her to withdraw from the tournament after winning her quarterfinals match against Beatriz Haddad Maia.

Unfortunately, her injury did not heal in time for her to participate in the Australian Open and Abu Dhabi Open. Despite returning to compete in the Qatar Open, she suffered a disappointing first-round loss to Haddad Maia, followed by a first-round exit at the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Despite her recent losses, Badosa kept up a positive attitude as she vowed to continue fighting for better results.

Paula Badosa will be back in action at the Indian Wells Masters, scheduled to begin in the first week of March.
