Swiss tennis player Stan Wawrinka has reacted to a heartening video of a young fan celebrating one of his points with his signature move.

At the ongoing ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam, Wawrinka fell to Italy's Jannik Sinner 6-1, 6-3 during their quarterfinal match on Friday but not without putting up a fight. This was the pair's fourth meeting, with Sinner now tallying the head-to-head at 2-2.

In a video shared by Tennis TV, a young kid can be seen cheering Wawrinka during the second set when he was on the verge of breaking Sinner's serve. The young fan jumped up and down in delight and celebrated the Swiss' point by pointing a finger at his head -- a celebration that has become synonymous with Wawrinka over the years.

"When Stan celebrates to you," Tennis TV tweeted.

The 37-year-old took note of the tweet and responded to the same with multiple heart emojis.

On his way to the quarterfinals, the Swiss star defeated both Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik in the first round and France's Richard Gasquet in the second round in straight sets.
