"Taylor Fritz isn't even the most famous Taylor in the building" - Fans react to Taylor Swift & boyfriend Travis Kelce in attendance at US Open final

Taylor Swift was in attendance for the 2024 US Open men's singles final between Taylor Fritz and Jannik Sinner on Sunday, September 8. Swift made her way to the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium at Flushing Meadows alongside boyfriend and NFL's Kansas City Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce. Unsurprisingly, fans were quick to react to the development.

Fritz and Sinner's US Open final clash marked their third ATP Tour-level meeting. The American and Italian faced each other twice before, with the spoils being shared. For 26-year-old Fritz, it was a maiden Grand Slam final appearance.

Meanwhile, it was World No. 1 Sinner's second Major final outing. His first one came at the 2024 Australian Open, where he remarkably came back from two-sets-and-a-break down to win against Daniil Medvedev.

Ahead of the match, cameras spotted 14-time Grammy Awards winner Taylor Swift walking with boyfriend Travis Kelce in the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, presumably walking towards the Arthur Ashe Stadium, where they were later spotted watching the action unfold.

Several fans were excited with Swift attending the US Open men's singles final. Some of these fans also wondered if the pop icon's attendance would contribute to a boost in viewership for the match.

"Today’s going to be the most watched in history thanks to swifties," a fan wrote.

"Sports swifties (me) are always winning these days," commented another fan.

"Tennis to get the Taylor Swift viewership bump?" asked another.

There were others who made fun out of the fact that Fritz and Swift share the same first name.

"Poor Taylor Fritz… Bro is literally in the final and isn’t even the most famous Taylor in the building!" wrote a fan.

"Is Taylor here to watch Taylor?," a fan asked.

"Well Taylor HAS to win now," another chimed in.

However, there were some fans who were evidently not too pleased with Fritz and Kelce hogging the limelight.

"No one cares," one fan wrote.

"These people have nothing to do with tennis but they think they should attend because it some kind of gala event," another fan weighed in.

Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle, an influencer and content creator, is an avid fan of Taylor Swift, and had reviewed her latest full-length album earlier this year.

Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle is a Taylor Swift enthusiast, and earlier this year, the influencer and content creator listened to the entirety of the pop icon's eleventh studio album, 'The Tortured Poets Department', and went on to share her honest review of it on social media.

Riddle suggested that she didn't like all the songs on the album, citing a lack of "variety". However, she hailed Swift's ability to consistently keep writing and releasing music.

"I wish there was more variety between the songs. I really liked 'So Long, London', 'Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?' Mostly I'm just so impressed with how much she's able to create and push out song after song. I'm like, does this woman get writer's block? It doesn't seem like she takes time off," Riddle said across a series of now-disappeared Instagram Stories.

On the tennis front, Taylor Fritz lost the first set of the 2024 US Open final 3-6 and was trailing Jannik Sinner 4-5 in the second at the time of writing.
