Petra Kvitova's agent, Marijn Bal, silenced a noisy Romanian fan during the Czech's Miami Open semifinal against Sorana Cirstea.

Kvitova did not have the best of starts to the match, getting broken in the fourth game of the opening set. At the time, there were some Romanian fans who were being noisy, forcing the umpire to ask them to maintain silence.

One such fan was constantly cheering Kvitova's unforced errors, which prompted her agent Marijn Bal to walk towards him and ask him to keep quiet.

Kvitova eventually bounced back and saved two set points before clinching the set 7-5. She broke in the opening game of the second set, and this turned out to be decisive as she won 6-4 to reach the Miami Open final for the very first time in her career.

Petra Kvitova said in her post-match press conference that she was very glad to finally reach the Miami Open final after a 'difficult' match.

"Yeah, I'm very happy for sure. I waited quite long to be in the final here. I'm happy I made it finally. Yeah, it was very difficult, so I'm very happy to get through and to have a chance to play the final tomorrow," the Czech said.

After overcoming Sorana Cirstea, Petra Kvitova will face 10th seed Elena Rybakina in the Miami Open final.

Rybakina, the reigning Wimbledon champion, is currently on a 13-match winning streak. She is in contention to complete the Sunshine Double, having already won the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells last month.

The Miami Open final will be the third meeting between Kvitova and Rybakina, with their head-to-head currently tied at 1-1.

Kvitova heaped praise on the Kazakh's current form during her post-match press conference and predicted that their match would come down to who handles the pressure better.

Yeah, you're right. It's 1-1 so we see tomorrow who gonna take it. As you said, she's playing very good, winning Indian Wells, returning here in the final. For sure it's a great achievement. She's a big hitter, big server as well. I'm the same. It's depends really how we are gonna handle the pressure from the opponent," Kvitova said.

If Petra Kvitova wins Saturday's final, she will become the first Czech singles champion in Miami since Ivan Lendl in 1989. Elena Rybakina, on the other hand, could become just the 12th player in history to complete the Sunshine Double.
