Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic faced off for the second consecutive year in the Wimbledon Championships final. Alcaraz defeated the 37-year-old on Sunday, 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(4) to clinch his second Wimbledon title and prevent Djokovic from winning his 25th Grand Slam singles title, which would have enabled him to surpass Margaret Court on the all-time list.

The women's category featured different opponents from the 2023 edition. Last year, Markéta Vondroušová defeated Ons Jabeur in the final, while the 2024 edition saw Barbora Krejčíková defeat Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 to clinch the second Grand Slam title of her career.

The men's singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic had 7.6 million viewers on TV, with streams at 3.3 million, compared to the 2023 final where TV views peaked at 11.3 million and streams were at 4.1 million. Reports suggest that the Euro 2024 final match between England and Spain, which took place on Sunday, affected the viewership of the tennis clash.
