The second round of the ongoing German Tennis Championships will see top stars Roger Federer and Toomy Haas play their opening matches on Wednesday.

In what will be the third match of the day, second seed Tommy Haas of Germany will face Blaz Kavcic of Slovenia. Local favourite Haas, 35, is the oldest player in the tournament while his 26-year-old opponent is looking for his first win over a Top 20 opponent.

The fourth match of the day will see former World No. 1 and top seed Roger Federer of Switzerland take on Daniel Brands of Germany. A win over the Swiss ace will be the perfect birthday gift for the birthday boy Brands, who turns 26 on Wednesday.
