2025 has been a difficult season for Fritz as the American has struggled with injuries. Some of his better hard-court results include a semi-final run at the Miami Open, where he eventually lost 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-7 (4) against Jakub Mensik.
The clay swing was underwhelming for Fritz as he could win multiple matches only in Madrid, losing 5-7, 4-6 against Casper Ruud.
