Tennis icon Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian emphasizes voting importance to daughter Olympia

Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian took the opportunity to teach his seven-year-old daughter Olympia about the significance of voting as he cast his early ballot for the 2024 presidential elections on November 5.

On November 1, Ohanian shared on his Instagram account that he had voted. In the caption, he mentioned that Olympia had inquired about voting, prompting him to explain that the United States, in the broader context of history, is a relatively young nation with an evolving political system.

"Olympia's big question last night was about voting and I explained what a miraculous (YOUNG) experiment our republic is in the timeline of humanity (and we didn't get it perfect from the start but we are always working to improve it - like fighting to make sure girls -- especially Black girls like her -- could vote) and how RARE a society with prolonged free and fair elections AND peaceful transitions of power is. Do not take these for granted," Ohanian captioned his Reel.

Former World No. 1 Jim Courier offered sharp criticism of Holger Rune's gameplay following the Dane's 3-6, 6-7(4) semifinal loss to third seed Alexander Zverev at the 2024 Paris Masters.

Courier gave a frank evaluation of the Danish tennis star's approach on the court while discussing his performance.

"I, for one, have no idea what he's trying to do out here. It's just all happening instinctively - it's like a full-blown jazz exploration out here. No rhyme, no rhythm. There's a lot of great things happening, it's just all scattershot and that is not a recipe for long-term success," Courier said during Rune's semifinal in Paris.
"It's still a very immature game. If he wants to be with the big boys consistently, he's gonna have to find something he can rely on rather than throwing paint against the wall and seeing what it looks like when it's all said and done. He just needs a sense of order - doesn't have it," he added.

Alexander Zverev reached his third final this season, where he will take on 15th seed Ugo Humbert on November 3.

Injured Karen Khachanov calls out Ugo Humbert for excessive celebrations amid Paris Masters SF

Karen Khachanov has addressed his controversial exchange with 15th seed Ugo Humbert after the former's 7-6(6), 4-6, 3-6 loss in the semifinals of the 2024 Paris Masters. During the third set, Khachanov called for a medical timeout for a leg injury and struggled to move in the last two games.

Despite Khachanov's condition, Humbert celebrated enthusiastically with the French crowd as he reached his first Masters 1000 final. After the match, the Russian tennis star exchanged heated words with Humbert during the post-match handshake at the net.

In an interview with Ziggo Sport, Khachanov revealed that he urged the French tennis star to show more respect.

"I told him at the net to show more respect. He has no idea how to behave. I always fair play. I will congratulate him if he behaves like a normal person. That’s all I can say," Khachanov said.

Karen Khachanov noted that he had refrained from celebrating excessively during his quarterfinal win over a fatigued Grigor Dimitrov. The Russian tennis star expressed frustration at Humbert’s tendency to "jump and scream" after every point, particularly given his injury.
