The year's first ATP 500 tournament is here as some of the world's best players are set to take the field at the 46th ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament which will be held at the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

In spite of the defending champion Roger Federer not taking part in the tournament, there are still a handful of star attractions in the tournament that gets underway on February 11. The winner of the tournament will get a maximum of 500 points to their kitty in the Race to London.

Japan's Kei Nishikori will be the top seed while Russia's Karen Khachanov will be the second. The tournament also features Greek superstar Stefanos Tsitsipas, who created a major upset at the Australian Open by defeating Roger Federer, Milos Raonic of Canada, Daniil Medvedev, Lucas Pouille, Roberto Bautista Agut, David Goffin, and Tomas Berdych.

Defending champion Roger Federer, who beat Grigor Dimitrov 6-2, 6-2 in the final of the 2018 edition, is not taking part in the competition this year and will lose 500 points from his overall points tally. Big-serving Croat Marin Cilic is also another notable absentee from the tournament as the former US Open champion withdrew himself from the tournament due to a knee injury.
