Michigan is set to host recruits this weekend as the high school recruiting landscape intensifies. Schools are actively showcasing their facilities, infrastructure and coaching to attract top talent.
Last year, Sherrone Moore secured the commitment of five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood. Underwood's commitment could pave the way for Michigan to land more elite players.
Presently, the Wolverines' Class of 2026 has seven commits, including Brady Smigiel, Matt Ludwig and Brody Jennings. A dozen recruits will be in attendance, but below are the top three.
#1 OT Felix Ojo
Felix Ojo is the No. 3 offensive tackle in the Class of 2026 and ranks No. 6 nationally, according to On3. Felix will announce his commitment on June 29 and has been exploring schools over the last few weeks. Last week, he dropped by Ryan Day's Ohio State Buckeyes, and this weekend, he will be at Ann Arbor.
"NIL is definitely a factor." Ojo said per SI. "I'd be lying if I said it wasn't, but I'll say, I'm going to college for relationship building more than NIL."
Aside from the Buckeyes, the Texas Longhorns, the Oklahoma Sooners, and the Florida Gators are also vying to land Ojo.
#2 CB Khary Adams
Khary Adams is an elite four-star cornerback from Loyola Blakefield High School, Maryland. He will announce his commitment on June 28. He is ranked No. 8 as a cornerback in the Class of 2026 and holds the No. 87 rank nationally, according to On3. As a junior, he caught 34 passes for 562 yards and six touchdowns on 16.5 yards per reception, in addition to 43 tackles.
His top five schools are Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, Notre Dame and South Carolina. Discussing what factors he considers, Adams stressed a robust defense.
“The scheme and how they plan to use me are most important." Adams said as per On3. "The fit is what I am looking for. How they see me fitting into the defense and the type of defense they run are things I will really look at on these visits.”
Furthermore, he praised Sherrone Moore's Wolverines.
“It could be a great situation for me at Michigan," he added. "I like the scheme, they run a lot of press man and I feel I could thrive in that defense. The coaches are really cool too.”
#3 EDGE Trenton Henderson
Trenton Henderson is a four-star edge rusher from Pensacola Catholic High School (Florida). He is ranked No. 11 in the Class of 2026 and holds the No. 59 rank nationally, according to On3. He dropped by Michigan in April but returns this weekend on an official visit.
EJ Holland, Michigan's recruiting Insider, provided insight regarding Moore's interest in the 6-foot-4 elite prospect:
"Henderson has long been a top target for Michigan this cycle. Woverines defensive line coach Lou Esposito went down to see him and has been in constant contact. Michigan impressed him this spring but does have work to do on his official visit."
He went to Auburn in May and concluded his visit to LSU last week. He is scheduled to visit Florida and USC in the upcoming days.
