On April 17, 2024, Mirae Asset Securities Research Center conducted a trend survey where they unveiled that BTS' Jungkook dominated Spotify's weekly top songs charts and secured the No.1 spot among the HYBE artists by generating the highest streams, which stood at over 1.7 billion. The survey was published on the South Korean platform TheQoo.

However, BTS' Jungkook, with only one of his solo debut albums, GOLDEN, dominated the Spotify Weekly top songs charts in 2023. The album was released on November 3, 2023, through Big Hit Music.

The pop record featured eleven songs, and it was preceded by two digital singles, including Seven (feat. Latto), released on July 14, 2023, and 3D (feat. Jack Harlow), released on September 29, 2023, respectively. Standing Next to You is the leading track of the album.

Within six months of his release in 2023, the Golden Maknae succeeded in recording 1.769 billion charted streams on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs charts in 2023. He was followed by other artists from the HYBE, including NewJeans (1.431 billion streams), BTS' Jimin (774 million streams), Kim Taehyung (522 million streams), BTS (132 million streams), LE SSERAFIM (203 million streams) and others.

He has also surpassed K-pop bands, including FIFTY FIFTY with 749 million streams, BLACKPINK with 223 million streams, Stray Kids with 80 million streams, (G)I-DLE with 110 streams, and others.

BTS' Jungkook is not only the most streamed artist from HYBE but the No.1 K-pop act, showcasing his worldwide influence and the number of fans who love him globally.

The major entertainment agencies' cumulative streaming as of 2023 on the charts include HYBE (4.970 billion streams), YG Entertainment (579 million streams), JYP Entertainment (100 million streams, and SM Entertainment (38 million streams). The other agencies' cumulative streams stood at 859 million.

It should also be noted that BTS' Jungkook's streams (1.769 billion) surpassed the combined streams (1.576 billion) of all three major agencies including, JYP Entertainment, SM Entertainment, and YG Entertainment, excluding HYBE's streams. He also surpassed other entertainment agencies' streams, which stood at 859 million.

Overall, Jungkook is only second to HYBE in having the most streams on the Spotify Weekly top songs charts in South Korea. As soon as the fandom learned about the Golden Maknae's latest milestone, they took to social media to share snippets and congratulatory posts. They weaved a plethora of compliments for the idol and stated he would continue to dominate the charts in the future.

Moreover, Mirae Asset Securities shared a report on The Future of K-Entertainment, stating that HYBE was responsible for generating the most buzz on the global music streaming platform Spotify in 2023.

The report stated that HYBE solely accounted for 69% of Spotify streams with 27,350 million views, followed by JYP Entertainment and SM Entertainment recordings, 16% with 6,210 million views, and 15% with 58,400 million views, respectively, in 2023. The artists from the agencies were successful in covering 30% of the global market share of streams on Spotify in 2023.

The Golden Maknae was born on September 1, 1997, in Busan, South Korea, and is 26 years old. He completed his education at the School of Performing Arts Seoul and Global Cyber Security.

The idol is a multitalented individual who is a singer, songwriter, and dancer. He was honored with the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit in 2018 and has been active in the industry since 2013.

He debuted with the K-pop group BTS as the lead vocalist and dancer on June 12, 2023, with the release of the single album 2 Cool 4 Skool.

The idol has been engaged in philanthropic works and donated US$ 874,164.08 to Seoul National University Children's Hospital in April 2023. The amount was used for expenditure on the treatment of patients from low-income families and the hospital's integrated care center.


BTS' Jungkook began his mandatory military service on December 12, and after concluding his five weeks of basic military training, the idol was deployed to the Fifth Infantry Division.

He was recently promoted to Private First Class and assigned the duty of cook in the military. He is expected to return to the entertainment industry in 2025.
