Season 3 picks up after the married couple Arisu and Yuzuha Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) woke up in a hospital, unaware of their time in Borderland. They later learn they had lived through a meteor strike in Shibuya. Their lives shift again when Usagi is abducted by a researcher named Ryuji (Kaku Kento), obsessed with life after death, forcing Arisu to return to Borderland to bring her back.

This chapter borrows from the sequel manga Alice in Borderland: Retry, but also introduces original arcs to expand the finale. With the Joker card now in play and new alliances at stake, the series closes with its most dangerous test yet.
