On April 18, 2024, the South Korean singer and rapper Zico shared a sneap-peek for his upcoming collaboration with BLACKPINK's Jennie ahead of his comeback through his Instagram account handle @woozico0914. In the preview, the duo was spotted singing the lyrics of the upcoming single SPOT!

On the same day, the rapper dropped another picture with the female singer where he captioned his post:

"Come vibe with us."

Zico subsequently shared a third post officially announcing the release of his eleventh digital single, SPOT! (feat. JENNIE) through his Instagram account and attached a teaser image and scheduler. SPOT! is a hip-hop genre song that showcases unaffected moments between two friends encountering each other at a party late at night.


BLACKPINK's Jennie and Zico impressed fans with their latest preview for the upcoming single SPOT!

In the preview shared by Zico through his social media account on Instagram, BLACKPINK's Jennie was spotted sitting in the recording studio alongside the rapper. The duo was enjoying the rhythmic beats as Jennie continued to lip-sync her part for the upcoming single, SPOT! She sang the following lines for the track in both English and Korean language—

"Mm, we're not goin' home tonight, alright, ne gyehoege eopsdeon party, Up and down, round and round. At the spot, spot, spot, eopsdeon han bichi makdeonjineunde wae charyeo wae."

The English version for the upcoming digital single, SPOT! that BLACKPINK's Jennie sang in the preview reads:

"Mm, we're not goin' home tonight, alright. Yeah, an unexpected party, Up and dwon, round and round, At the spot, spot, spot, spot. Why are you dressed up when the lights have just come on."

Jennie donned a casual sweatshirt and a black skirt, complemented by black tights, shoes, and socks. She styled her nonchalant look with black sunglasses. Zico wore a black hoodie, beanie, and printed pants. The rapper continued to dance and showcased small gestures as the female singer lip-synced the lyrics.

BLACKPINK member reposted the preview shared by the rapper on her Instagram story on the same day (April 18, 2024). Although the preview was only about 20 seconds, fans were impressed and shared a plethora of compliments for the idol and expressed their excitement to hear the song as soon as possible.

Zico would be making a comeback after a year and nine months following the release of his mini album Grown As* Kids in July 2022. The upcoming digital track marks the 10th anniversary of the singer's debut as a soloist.

In the second post, Zico shared a picture of himself and the BLACKPINK member intently looking at Polaroid pictures with some pages and pencils on the table. It seemed that the duo was working on the SPOT!

In the third post, Zico shared an image teaser and schedule for SPOT! The teaser was painted in an orange and brown shade with the rapper's image on it, where he donned his black hoodie and simultaneously seated on a table near the edge of a building's terrace.

The schedule for the SPOT! is as follows:

  1. The official recording teaser 1 for the track will be released on April 19, 2024, at 12 PM KST, on Instagram.
  2. The official teasers/ recordings 2 for the track will be released on April 20, 2024, at 12 PM KST on TikTok.
  3. The final recording teaser will drop on April 21, 2024, at 9 PM KST.
  4. The concept photo featuring BLACKPINK's Jennie will be released on April 22, 2024, at 12 PM KST.
  5. The concept photo featuring Zico will be dropped on April 23, 2024, at 12 PM KST.
  6. The music video teaser for the track will be released on April 25 at 0 AM KST.
  7. The two different versions of the music video for SPOT! (feat.Jennie) will be released on April 25 at 4 PM KST and April 26 at 5 PM, respectively.

Zico's upcoming digital single SPOT! (feat. Jennie) will be available to stream on audio streaming platforms from April 26, 2024, at 6 PM KST.
