ONE: High School Heroes, featuring Lee Jung-ha, Kim Do-wan, Yoo Hee-jae, Yuk Jun-seo, Hong Min-gi, and more, has entered the final week of its broadcast. In ONE: High School Heroes, actor Lee Jung-ha plays the role of Kim Eui-gyeom, a model student who gets good grades and is not involved in any mischievous activities.
However, after losing his brother, Kim Soo-gyeom, he became a target of his father Kim Seok-tae’s academic pressure. Soon, Kim Eui-gyeom found himself getting into fights with his peers who bullied others. Meanwhile, Wedding Impossible star Kim Do-wan depicts the character Kang Yun-ki, who is Kim Eui-gyeom’s classmate.
Kang Yun-ki witnessed Kim Eui-gyeom getting into fights with bullies at school and recognized his potential. He also has combat skills, and due to a past incident, he wants to take down brutes from other schools. Kang Yun-ki forms an alliance with Kim Eui-gyeom for his mission as the red-masked superhero.
The Lee Jung-ha-starring drama is set to release a total of eight episodes. The final episodes, 7 and 8, are scheduled to be aired on Friday, June 13, 2025, on the South Korean OTT platform Wavve.
Viewers of ONE: High School Heroes may expect the showdown between Choi Ki-soo (Yoo Hee-jae) and Kang Yun-ki in the upcoming episodes. Attention is also paid to how Kim Eui-gyeom would react to their fight. In contrast, Lee Geol-jae (Yuk Jun-seo) and Kim Seung-jun’s (Lim Sung-kyun) roles in the story's development also spark curiosity.
ONE: High School Heroes ep 5-6 rewind: Introducing new characters Lee Geol-jae and Choi Ki-soo
South Korean visual artist Yuk Jun-seo, who gained fame through Netflix's dating reality show Single's Inferno 4, made his acting debut through the ongoing action drama series ONE: High School Heroes. Yuk Jun-seo plays Lee Geol-jae, a newly transferred student at Kim Eui-gyeom’s school. Lee Geol-jae exudes a mysterious, seemingly negative aura while wearing a bucket hat. He was seen getting warned by the teacher not to get into any trouble here, and that it was his final chance.
It was later revealed that Lee Geol-jae participated in violent acts at his previous school. The authorities at school coerced students to fight, and they were judged based on their combat skills. Lee Geol-jae aimed to get away from that school, and to achieve his goal, he had to fight whoever came his way.
On the other hand, Choi Ki-soo, portrayed by Lee Hae-jae, is an evil bully who is complicit in Kim Nam-hyub’s misdeeds towards his peers. Choi Ki-soo entered the scene in episode 6 of ONE: High School Heroes, where he saw a kid getting harassed by his classmates. He intervened, and the kid asked for help.
Choi Ki-soo told him that no one would come to rescue him. He handed a pen to the kid and said he should do whatever he could with it. As Choi Ki-soo left, sounds of kids seemingly getting stabbed by a sharp object could be heard.
Choi Ki-soo used to be friends with Kim Nam-hyub and his underlings during middle school. In the final part of ONE: High School Heroes episode 6, Choi Ki-soo made a deal with Kim Nam-hyub that he would help him by getting rid of Kim Eui-gyeom and Kang Yun-ki. Choi Ki-soo demanded that Kim Nam-hyub give him a hefty amount of money for this job.
Fans and viewers can look forward to the release of ONE: High School Heroes' upcoming episodes on June 13, 2024.
