Wavve original series ONE: High School Heroes, featuring Lee Jung-ha, unveiled episodes 5 and 6 on Friday, June 6, 2025. ONE: High School Heroes tells the story of two young students, Kim Eui-gyeom (Lee Jung-ha) and Kang Yun-ki (Kim Do-wan), wearing red masks in a battle against high school bullying and violence.
In episode 5 of ONE: High School Heroes, Nam Seung-sik spreads a rumor through Choi Hong-il that the new kid, Lee Geol-jae (Yuk Jun-seo), wants to cause a ruckus and take over the school. Kim Eui-gyeom and Kang Yun-ki are positive about getting into a fight and winning against Lee Geol-jae.
As the two friends confront him on the rooftop, Lee Geol-jae says that he wants to attend school without getting in any trouble. He further said that he did not get into a fight with Nam Seung-sik but tried to stop him. Kim Eui-gyeom said that he is different from the likes of Nam Seung-sik and only goes after bad kids. Lee Geol-jae questioned him about how he concluded whether a student is good or bad.

Kang Yun-ki recognizes him and stops Kim Eui-gyeom from going further, warning him that he would not be able to handle Lee Geol-jae. Kang Yun-ki reveals that he went to a school where the authorities made a system where students had to find and earn high ranks.
If the students didn't adhere to the rules, they became victims of violence. Lee Geol-jae had to beat up all the students for a high rank, which was the only way for him to transfer out. Kim Eui-gyeom doesn't go after Lee Geol-jae as he learns his story.
ONE: High School Heroes ep 5-6 recap—Red-masked fighters exposed, Kim Eui-gyeom confronts parents
In ONE: High School Heroes episode 5, Kim Eui-gyeom and Kang Yun-ki confront Kim Nam-hyub (Hong Min-gi) harassing his classmate. They make Kim Nam-hyub apologize to the victim and capture it on camera. Later, Kim Seung-jun meets Kim Eui-gyeom and tells him to start boxing once again.
Kim Seung-jun tells him that the brutes were not so harsh on other kids before; they turned into bullies after learning that they can fight and are physically stronger than others. He adds that Kim Eui-gyeom looks just like them before they became troublemakers. After the mishap with Lee Geol-jae, Kang Yun-ki notices that Kim Eui-gyeom slowly could not control himself due to intense battles.
Later, in ONE: High School Heroes episode 5, they confront Lee Ki-yoon, one of Kim Nam-hyub’s friends who was possibly involved in a previous bullying case where the victim was Kang Yun-ki’s friend. Lee Ki-yoon gets beaten up by Kim Eui-gyeom, and, in defense, he tries to hit him back with a metal rod.
Kim Eui-gyeom loses his cool and beats him up continuously, as though he had no control over his body. He was reminded of the pressure he faced by his father and flashbacks from his brother's past.
However, when Kim Eui-gyeom and Kang Yun-ki approach the third friend from the group, he is already aware of the two red-masked students coming after him. He is backed up by a large number of students and eventually sees their faces. The third friend recognizes Kang Yun-ki as his former middle school classmate. He films their faces, but they are able to escape soon.
As Kim Eui-gyeom and Kang Yun-ki are being chased by them, Kim Seung-jun sees them and gives them a ride on his motorcycle. Kim Eui-gyeom tells Kang Yun-ki that he is aware of his plan of revenge. He asks Kim Seung-jun to let him stay at his place, as he cannot go home injured. Kim Seung-jun warned him that he should stay away from Yun-ki. He had previously told him that he would get in trouble if he continued fighting.
In episode 6 of ONE: High School Heroes, Kim Eui-gyeom confronts his parents for pressuring his brother for studies and blames them for his death. Kang Yun-ki’s friend Ji-sung, who was hospitalized, gains consciousness.
Meanwhile, Kim Nam-hyub and his friends approach Choi Ki-soo, who was also a part of the incident related to Ji-sung. He asks him to get rid of Kang Yun-ki and Kim Eui-gyeom. Choi Ki-soo reminds Kim Nam-hyub that his father was majorly involved in Ji-sung's incident. He then asks him to pay him a large sum to get the work done.
By the end of ONE: High School Heroes episode 6, Choi Ki-soo goes to Kim Eui-gyeom’s high school and beats up Nam Seung-sik, waiting for the red masked duo to arrive. As they reached it, Kang Yun-ki asked Kim Eui-gyeom to step aside, as this was his plan. Kang Yun-ki goes against Choi Ki-soo, ending the episode on a cliffhanger.
