“BTXT FAMILY IS REAL” — Fans react as BTS’ Jimin & Jungkook hilariously roast TXT members’ handwriting in heartfelt discharge letters

On June 11, 2025, BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook wrapped up their military service in South Korea. Right after being discharged, they hopped on a Weverse live to chat with fans and share updates from their time in the military.

TXT, their juniors from the same label BigHit Music, welcomed them back with handwritten notes and flower bunches. During the stream, Jungkook pointed out that Beomgyu had the cleanest handwriting. Yeonjun’s writing, though, became a joke between the two BTS members, and fans caught on fast.

The bond shared by BTS' Jimin and Jungkook with their junior labelmates, TXT, has grown into a notable example of mentorship and camaraderie. While doing press in the U.S. for Map of the Soul: 7, Jungkook was asked to name a word starting with “T.” He quickly shouted, “Tomorrow by Together!” dropping TXT’s name.

TXT debuted on March 4, 2019. Their first album, The Dream Chapter: Star, and lead track CROWN dropped the same day. Right after the MV release, Jimin gave them a shoutout via an X post. The message translated to:

The five-member group replied to him hours later, writing:

"Hello, Jimin senior!! It's TOMORROW X TOGETHER! We will work hard in the future!! Thank you for your support ❤️❤️❤️ Please watch!! ❣️⭐️."

On March 7, TXT posted a picture hanging out with BTS. The caption thanked BTS for making time, offering kind advice, and showing love. Jungkook responded to their message, referring to himself as “Jungkookie hyung,” and pointing out that he’s now an elder.

Yeonjun later revealed that Jimin calls them “babies” and treats them like real little bros. Since their debut, BTS has consistently shown up as hands-on mentors to TXT, both online and in real life.


The quintet recently also handed handwritten messages to Namjoon and V in celebration of their army discharge. Likewise, they had previously shared similar messages with j-hope during his return.
