Charlucci Finney, a close friend of Sean "Diddy" Combs spoke to a reporter from PIX11 and defended the rapper amidst his ongoing federal trial. Finney, who is a record producer, per CNN, shared his thoughts on Byrana Bongolan's testimony, stating that he didn't think it was believable. He also added this was because she couldn't remember anything.
The rapper's friend told the journalist that he thought that the truth was something the other person would remember as "lies are hard to remember."
"Lies are hard to remember, the truth is easy to remember... I don't know what they [the prosecutors] were doing, but she definitely didn't come off as credible, at all," Finney said.
Finney's comment comes in response to Bongolan's testimony about a 2016 incident. At the time, Diddy allegedly held Brayana, who is Cassie's friend, over the 17th-floor balcony of an apartment before throwing her onto the balcony's furniture. Brayana testified on Wednesday and was cross-questioned about it the following day by defense attorney Nicole Westmoreland.
The defense attorney told the jurors that the timeline of Brayana Bongolan's testimony was faulty. She added that the picture of the bruise that the witness submitted in court was taken on September 26, 2016, while Diddy was in New York City attending an event with Cassie Ventura.
Charlucci Finney also commented on Diddy's leaked video of the 2016 InterContinental Hotel incident
Diddy's long-time friend, Charlucci Finney, also spoke to the journalist about his trial and the evidence related to his alleged abuse of Cassie Ventura.
Finney spoke to NewsNation's CUOMO on Monday, June 2, 2025, about some new photos of a bruised Ventura following the 2016 hotel incident. He said that since he was a father of two girls, if he saw any of his friends hit a woman, he "wouldn't be here."
"I’m a father of two daughters, right? So I wouldn’t be here … if I ever, if I’ve ever saw anyone, my friends, especially him, hit a woman," the producer said.
Finney also shared his thoughts on the leaked footage of Combs kicking and dragging Ventura back to their room. He said that to him, it looked like a "drug-induced high," noting that it "was not the Sean that [I] know that you see in the hallway."
"It looked like, you know, like I was saying drug-induced high, or whatever, whatever you want to call it," he added.
Charlucci also addressed claims about the alleged "freak offs" that Cassie said were coerced. He disagreed with her and stated that she was a "willing, consenting adult" who participated in them by her own choice.
He added that it was Cassie Ventura who brought s*x workers to the "freak offs," stating that Combs "didn't bring anyone in."
"How you going to make a sex worker fly in town or come … somewhere and leave… unharmed and unscathed?... I never heard, like, that in my life. He didn’t bring anyone in. Cassie brought the people in."
Finney told NewsNation that he was in contact with Diddy throughout his time behind bars. He claimed that the Bad Boy Records owner often worried about his family while being focused on proving his innocence.
"We stand prayed up, and the evidence is going to show that he’s not guilty of these crimes that they’re alleging. They have to prove them charges," he noted.
As Diddy's trial is finishing its fourth week, the Last Night rapper maintains his stance of innocence, denying all allegations placed on him. If convicted of these charges, Combs might face life imprisonment.
