American rapper Fat Joe spoke about his perspective on the recent beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar during an Instagram live session on Thursday, April 25, 2024. He believes that the beef is not "cooking up" anymore since it has been quite some time since Drake released his diss tracks, while Lamar has not responded to those as of now.

On the live session, the rapper said,

"Hip Hop beef can go real bad. I don't think Kendrick's cooking up… I think that's over. It don't take three or four weeks [to record a response]."

It was Kendrick Lamar who initially started the conflict with Drake after Like That was released in March. Since then, Drizzy has dropped two diss tracks- Push Ups and Taylor Made Freestyle.

The recent rap beef between rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar isn't unknown anymore. However, the conflict seems to have steamed out, as per American rapper Fat Joe. During an Instagram live session on Thursday, the rapper revealed what he believes about the recent beef.

Fat Joe believes Lamar has taken too long to release a diss track responding to Drake's series of diss tracks. Fans have been eagerly waiting for any response from Lamar, but that hasn't come as of now.

It has, however, been seen in several cases that the responses have come after months in several rap beefs. Hence, there might be a chance that Lamar will come up with a diss track as a response to Drizzy's tracks.

During the Instagram live session, Fat Joe spoke about another issue that has been talked about a lot lately. It is about the usage of AI voices of Tupac and Snoop Dogg in Drake's latest diss track.

Fat Joe believes that the AI usage of Tupac's voice in the diss track was "creative"

The 53-year-old rapper revealed that he believes that the idea of Drake using the AI voices was quite "creative."

"[T]he 2Pac family wanna sue Drake. I thought it was creative, using the AI 2Pac and pushing the envelope. But I got no horse in this game. I wish they would all get along."

On Wednesday, a cease-and-desist letter was sent to Canadian rapper Drake for using the AI version of Tupac's voice in his diss track, Taylor Made Freestyle. According to the letter,

"The Estate is deeply dismayed and disappointed by your unauthorized use of Tupac's voice and personality."

It further read,

"Not only is the record a flagrant violation of Tupac's publicity and the estate's legal rights, it is also a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. The Estate would never have given its approval for this use."

The letter read that Drake had to take it down within 24 to avoid legal actions taken against him. Tupac's brother, Mopreme Shakur, has also shown his disappointment after his brother's AI voice has been used to diss someone.

Mopreme added that he believes such beef should happen 1-on-1 without any external help. Thus, Tupac's name should have been avoided in the diss tracks. According to Mopreme, he is fond of Drake, Cole, and Lamar, and stated that the rappers should take rap sportingly and should avoid getting violent in any kind.

Unlike Fat Joe, Mopreme, however, told TMZ that he thinks it's not over yet. According to him, the rap battle is yet to finish, and he can't yet choose the winner.
