Harlem rapper Cam'Ron Giles was recently invited on CNN’s NewsNight where Abby Phillip interviewed him regarding the 2016 Diddy-Cassie footage. But the internet was left unsettled with the bizarre nature of the conversation and Giles drinking PinkHorsePower mid-interview.

The product is a supplement owned by the rapper. According to its website, the product enhances men's l*bibo.

Abby asked Giles about his thoughts on the hotel surveillance footage and Diddy’s subsequent apology. After playing a short clip from Giles’ joint podcast with his fellow rapper Mase where Diddy was mentioned, Abby asked him:

“Is there something known in the industry about how Diddy treated his artists?”

The “Hey Ma” hitmaker did not immediately respond to the question and started drinking the supplement while Abby Phillip waited for him to speak. Once he gulped down the drink, emptying the container, Cam’Ron said:

“Sorry, I’m gonna get some ch*eks after this horsepower drink.”

The host shared a quick look with the producer behind the camera as she was seemingly dumbfounded. However, the rapper's unperturbed attitude afterward sparked reactions online. He even asked after a while:

"Who's the talent agent for this joint? You think I be sitting around watching what Diddy do? I didn't know this was a Diddy joint that y'all invited me to. Who booked me for this joint?"

The interview prompted hilarious reactions from the internet. One user commented on The Shade Room's repost of the interview clip and compared it with a scene from the American sitcom The Boondocks.

Others chimed in to share their reactions:

"Why did he try to turn CNN into Zeus?!", asked @iheartega
"The crazy thing is Cam’Ron would really act like this with anyone so I’m not even surprised", wrote @damialaw
"Lmaooo yoooo they could never make me hate him “sorry I’m going to get some ch*eks after this” took me out", commented @thereal_krissystyles
"He is way too old to be acting like that. Childish on the news. How embarrassing. He could have just declined the interview instead of getting on CNN looking like a [clown emoji]", wrote @itsbrooklynjones
"They asked for Cam'ron, but Killa Cam showed up", said @_eazy504

Cam'Ron told CNN they should ask Cassie about Diddy's apology instead of asking him

At the beginning of the CNN interview, Abby played the 2016 clip where Diddy was seen dragging, kicking, shoving, and beating Cassie. She then asked Cam’Ron if he could recognize the man in the video, to which, the rapper initially expressed he found everything on the footage egregious.

Giles continued that he does not condone domestic violence, trafficking of minors, and everything Diddy was charged with. He added he was thus upset when he watched the clip. However, he claimed not to be well-acquainted with Diddy:

"What do you mean did I recognize him? I seen him. What do you mean my experiences? I seen him and I thought…I thought it was disgusting, I didn't do a zoom in to see if it was really him or nothing, but he admitted it was him so yeah, it was him."

Abby Phillip asked him his thoughts on Diddy’s apology video that he later posted on Instagram. Cam'Ron replied:

“The apology ain't for me to decide, it's for Cassie…What I think about it don’t matter. He ain't do nothing to me…You need to ask Cassie if she accepts the apology. I told you how I feel, I said what I said.”

After that, Abby played the "It Is What It Is" podcast clip from September 2023, where Cam'Ron asked Mase why he signed him up under Biggie Small's record company, and not Diddy's Bad Boy Records. Mase responded he saw Giles as a good friend, so he wanted the rapper to work with someone familiar. Mase told Giles at the time:

"Instantly, I knew Biggie would do right by you."

Referring to that conversation, Abby Phillip asked Cam'Ron Giles to share some more insight into it, during which, he started drinking the supplement. As he started asking why he was booked for the interview where he would be asked questions about Diddy, Abby did not drag the conversation further and thanked him for joining them.
