DDG recently made headlines after filing a motion trying to restrict Halle Bailey from traveling outside the country with their son, Halo. Following this, on June 7, a clip from a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast was uploaded on X by a fan page. In the clip, media personality Melyssa Ford was seen extending support to Bailey.

In the conversation with her co-hosts, Ford claimed that the public knew about the personal issues between DDG and Halle Bailey only because the rapper constantly talked about them online. Melyssa Ford continued:

"Also, when he started talking about the fact that she was, you know, preventing him from seeing Halo, he did this on his streaming platform with his millions of viewers, creating like a hashtag 'Free Halo'... That encourages your audience to go to her and start bullying her..."

Ford claimed DDG's actions had encouraged his audience to reach out to Halle Bailey and bully her. According to the co-host, all the apparent bullying was based on just one side of the story, which DDG had presented to his fans. Ford even described the streamer as someone who seems "wildly stressful to deal with."

She went on to assert that she was supporting Halle Bailey, and she didn't even need all the facts to do so, primarily because the actress had just had a baby. Ford further referred to the recently released text messages exchanged between DDG and Bailey, which the streamer used in order to portray that the latter wasn't psychologically fit to take care of their child.

Melyssa Ford wondered why Bailey was being judged for a possible outburst that she had during a vulnerable situation. While Ford believed that DDG had weaponized his fanbase, her co-hosts, including Joe Budden, thought that the same had been done by both the rapper as well as Halle Bailey.

A judge denied DDG's motion to prevent Halle Bailey from taking their son Halo outside the country

As aforementioned, DDG and Halle Bailey are currently making headlines for their ongoing battles post-breakup.

Meanwhile, the rapper and streamer had recently filed a motion to prevent Halle from taking their son Halo abroad, particularly to Italy on vacation. However, according to court documents obtained by People on Thursday, June 5, a judge denied this motion.

The outlet further confirmed that a temporary restraining order filed by DDG against the actress was also denied by the judge. The restraining order was requested after alleging that Bailey possessed "imminent emotional and psychological risk to the minor child based on repeated, documented threats of self-harm."

This request came about a month after Halle Bailey got temporary custody of Halo. At the time, Bailey had accused DDG of being violent towards her, both physically as well as emotionally. A temporary restraining order was also granted, and DDG was ordered to stay more than 100 yards away from the actress and their son. This reportedly stayed valid till June 4, the date of the court hearing.

In May, Bailey had also asked the judge to suspend DDG's visitation rights. She, however, was up for him getting supervised visits to Halo once a week for six hours in Los Angeles. The Little Mermaid star also requested that the streamer be accompanied by a professional during these visits.

For the unversed, the former couple began dating in 2022 and split up last year. Meanwhile, they welcomed their son in December 2023.
