This week on Friday, Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand took to Instagram to share a new set of never-before-seen photos from her wedding to Heather Tillsley. It featured a look at the moments leading up to their wedding ceremony in Italy.
The images, originally captured by wedding photographer Janelle Connor, were reposted by Rebecca to her Instagram stories. In the first two stories, Rebecca and her sister Melissa Marchand were seen sharing an emotional moment inside the bridal suite laughing and holding hands in front of a grand mirror.
Rebecca wore a sleek white gown with a minimalist silhouette, while Melissa was in a floral halter-neck dress.
“The sisterhood these two share,” read the caption of the original story.
A third image showed Rebecca with her wife Heather Tillsley standing arm-in-arm overlooking the rolling hills and vineyards of Decugnano dei Barbi in Orvieto, Italy, the venue where the couple tied the knot earlier this summer. Rebecca wrote:
“In this moment, we were crying at seeing how beautiful the tables, setup and views were.”

The Marchand wedding this summer was a full-family celebration with her siblings Jeff, Melissa and Brad Marchand, as well as parents Lynn and Kevin Marchand all traveling to Italy for the occasion. Brad’s wife Katrina Sloane and their children were also part of the celebrations seen in photos shared by Rebecca earlier.
The wedding functions spanned several days including a welcome dinner, an outdoor rehearsal celebration and the main ceremony and reception overlooking the Tuscan countryside.
Brad Marchand opens up about getting teary-eyed during Bruins tribute
Florida Panthers star Brad Marchand became visibly emotional during a heartwarming tribute at Boston’s TD Garden on Tuesday during his first visit to the arena as a visitor since being traded from the Boston Bruins at the 2025 trade deadline.
The 37-year-old forward who spent 16 seasons with the Bruins and served as team captain for one year was honored with a touching video montage during the first TV timeout of the game. The tribute featured special moments from Marchand’s tenure with Boston where he amassed 976 points through 422 goals and 544 assists and captured a Stanley Cup in 2011.
As the video played, the crowd gave Marchand a prolonged standing ovation chanting his name. The forward, visibly moved to tears, later reflected on the moment, saying:
“I was trying not to cry. ...As soon as I saw my kids on the screen, it kind of hit like a ton of bricks. I love the fans here. They're special.”
Marchand spoke fondly of his time in Boston describing the city as hardworking and passionate.
“I always loved playing here, loved putting the jersey on and wearing my heart on my sleeve. It’s a hard-working city and people appreciate that. I love the fans here. They’re special. They’re an incredible group.”
Drafted 71st overall by the Bruins in the 2006 NHL Draft, Marchand earned four All-Star selections over his career in Boston. He concluded by expressing gratitude for the support he received from the team and the fanbase over the years.
