Tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins will look to snap a four-game skid when they collide with the Edmonton Oilers. While Pittsburgh found their rhythm at the end of 2024, the team has gone 0-4 since their Dec. 29 win over the Islanders, most recently falling to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday.

On the flip side, the Oilers will be looking to make it five in a row tonight after a 4-0 shutout win over the Boston Bruins on Tuesday that put the team in second place in the Pacific Division.

Heading into the game, the Penguins will be looking to pick up a big win to break their tie with the Columbus Blue Jackets and move into sole possession of fourth place in the Metropolitan Division. The big question will be whether Evgeni Malkin returns to action for Pittsburgh. After dealing with an upper-body injury earlier in the week, "Geno" is expected to be a game-time decision.

Looking at the odds for tonight's Penguins vs Oilers game, as well as upcoming Pittsburgh games

Heading into tonight's game between Pittsburgh and Edmonton, it should come as no surprise that the Oilers are sitting as comfortable betting favorites, given how well they've played this season compared to the Penguins.

On FanDuel, Edmonton is a -225 favorite, while on the flip side, Pittsburgh is a +184 underdog. Meanwhile, on DraftKings, Edmonton is a -230 favorite, while on the flip side, Pittsburgh is a +190 underdog.

While these lines might change between now and puck drop, based on the way things are looking right now, it would take a $230 bet on Edmonton as the favorites to win $100 on DraftKings while a $100 bet on Pittsburgh as the underdogs would win $190.

Following tonight's game, the Penguins will host the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, which will kick off a back-to-back for the team that will then see them host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday. From there, the team will host the Seattle Kraken next Tuesday before kicking off a seven-game road stretch.
