Matt Walsh recently shared his response to Elon Musk’s tweet on June 5, 2025. In the tweet, Musk claimed that the Epstein files were not being released to the public because they allegedly included the name of Donald Trump.
A day after Musk’s post on X (formerly Twitter) went viral, the political commentator shared a lengthy statement the following day on Friday, June 6. Walsh appeared to disagree with the claims made by Elon Musk on his tweet and addressed the same, as he wrote:
“The only possible reason they didn’t release the dirt on Trump is that there is no dirt to release. Trump is the most thoroughly vetted politician in American history. There is no corner of his life that his enemies haven’t ripped open for public. And yet they’ve kept THIS a secret? Absurd.”
In addition, Matt Walsh wrote that the allegations of Trump’s name being featured in the Epstein files are not something that anyone can imagine so easily. Furthermore, Walsh questioned the reasons why the Democrats won’t reveal the details of Trump’s association with the Epstein files to anyone and added:
“You can say that they are also incriminated in the files? But so what? They would have just released the part that incriminated Trump. Release that part and destroy or redact the rest. Does anyone think the Dems are above pulling a move like that?”
According to Time magazine, Musk has already deleted the tweet that he posted about Trump. Notably, a portion of the Epstein files were released in February this year by US Attorney General Pam Bondi. However, the remaining documents are yet to be released.
Robert Garcia and Stephen F. Lynch demand the release of the remaining Epstein files
As mentioned, the Epstein files have not been fully released to the public. While Elon Musk’s tweet started trending on June 5, 2025, Task Force Ranking Member Robert Garcia, alongside US Representative Stephen F. Lynch, approached Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel. They demanded the release of all the documents.
A press release from the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Democrats says that Robert and Stephen’s letter referred to Musk’s post on X. They wrote:
“We ask that you immediately clarify whether this allegation is true and respond to this letter with the requested information and documentation.”
The letter also noted that Donald Trump was reportedly linked to Jeffrey Epstein over the years. The letter claimed that the family members of the President of the United States were allegedly the passengers on an airplane owned by Epstein, and that Trump reportedly shared a close friendship with Epstein at the time.
According to a report by Time, published on June 7, 2025, Robert and Stephen additionally requested a timeline for the release of the remaining Epstein files. They have further demanded the reasons why they have not been disclosed to the public until now.
The duo also sought clarification on the alleged role of Trump in reviewing the documents and the individuals who were involved in the release of the documents
Harrison Fields, a spokesperson for the White House, has responded to the letter in a statement to Axios on June 5, 2025. They claimed that it was a “baseless stunt” that does not have any link to reality.
"Oversight Democrats are engaged in another baseless stunt that bears no weight in fact or reality," he said.
While Matt Walsh has recently responded to Musk’s allegations in his tweet, Kash Patel also addressed the matter while speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience on June 5. He stated that he would not like to say anything about the alleged problems between Musk and Trump.
